TV shut down, but then tried to power back on,but for some reason could not hold it.kept clicking on and off 3 times and finally quit. Waited awhile then tried again, but had the same result.Finally unplugged the power from outlet and waited for one hour. Tried again but TV failed to power up again. As I said, I can hear the clicking as the TV tries to power up then clicks again and shuts down. I failed to mention that when TV is powered up after sitting awhile, the picture and sound is perfectly normal for about 20 seconds, then shuts down.

Try holding the power button down and with it still pushed in unplugging the unit for a few seconds then release the power and before you plug it back in hold the volume keys and power down at the same time and while holding plug it back in most tvs have a reset sequence hope this helps

this might be problems in your power supply leack capacitor or over loading for sure.

this like your tv mainboard has error, change it with new one, contact service center to do that

1. Try ctrl-alt-delete 2. Try "esc" 3. Do a force quit by pressing and holding the power button until it shuts down. Wait awhile and then power up again.

the system may be corrupted...i fixed mine by simply just holding down the power button till it shuts off...then i waited a few hours came back reset my powerstrip a few times...fixed the input cords and tv cords and it finally popped up saying somthing like "the system has been corrupted" then just hit ok and then it should restore

Since the sleep/power button is stuck it turned off because holding the top and home button for ten seconds is for turning the iPod off if it freezes so it thought you wanted a hard shut-down and the sleep/power is still being held so it is telling the iPod to turn on but holding the sleep/power button during start-up was made to turn the iPod off if it freezes during start-up. So you may want to take it to your nearest apple store.

yes this is a power supply problem. it has shut down due to a fault, for safety reasons, to prevent a fire or explosion. You need to get a "Quote" for repair. Please note, a unit such as this will more than likely be an un-economic repair.

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.


If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours,sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

The set has a processor that has detected one of about 30 different problems, When this happens it shut the unit down for safety. A technician has special computer interface equipment that can read what errors have caused the set to shut down. I would have to troubleshoot this set further to know what it could be. sounds like it could be a compent that has finally decide to fail.
