Connected my 360 to tv via hdmi, but the signal keeps dropping out for a few seconds randomly, tried two different cables, tried changing every single setting on xbox you can think of but still have the same issue. Please help, so annoying especially after spending money on ANOTHER hdmi cable for it to still not work.

Just about every problem I have had has turned out to be relative to the scart sockets. (rolling screen, wrong colour etc).

May I suggest that someone moves the scart to see if it helps.

Rather obvious I know but the obvious often works.

Try to use a HDMI cable, your component cables may not be usable with your TV.

SOURCE: Hanspree TV chgs channel w/ cable remote but cant turn on/off

Thanks but I no longer require assistance. I tried to remove my post but it does not seem possible. I no longer need assistance because I sent the TV back. There is no solution as there is no universal remote code --- ridiculous for a brand new TV set that most people are probably going to want to use with cable!

Based on what you're saying it can only be a few things.
Trying putting the HDMI cable into a different port on the tv and change input.
Try changing the HDMI cable.
If that doesn't work, change over to component cables, change TV input again and see if that works.

HDMI signal cuts out for a few seconds constantly from receiver to television. It does it when switched to cable box and the roku box. Onkyo TX-SR606 Scientific Atlanta Cable box thru HDMI Roku Box...

Mine did the same thing where the screen would go black for a few seconds and then the picture and sound came back. I would try (1) switch HDMI cables, (2) try a different HDMI input in the back of the receiver, (3) try different input in the back of the TV. None of these seemed to work with mine. I finally ended up running the cable box direct to the TV and only run the audio through the reciever via coax or digital. No more problems. I think the HDMI inputs in the back of the reciever have a problem continuously carrying the signal if it is the leaset bit weak.

Sharp Aquos 46" HDMI problem

I have a similar problem. The Sharp TV aquos appears to be shutting down my blue ray player and dvd recorder when connected via HDMI. They work fine and never close down when I connect them via the rca cables either single video connection or a composite 3 cable rca lead. I have 3 HDMI inputs on the tv and the problem occurs on all 3. Any suggestions?

Picture sound blackout (blink) when cable box/receiver HDMI used

Onkyo service told me, the second timethat I called them, that there is a known HDMI handshake issue with Motorola and Atlanta Scientific cable boxes. The only solution, and it was a solution, is to connect the box through the HDMI 1 port ONLY. All the other (2,3,4) result in blinking/dropping of signal. I did this, changed the cable/satelilte setting to HDMI 1 and all is well.
