Error codes 10 12 16 on kenmore induction cooktop

Seems as though sears does not know what these codes are, without sending a repair person, codes can be reset by turning off breaker and repowering.

I just installed a Kenmore 30" induction cooktop, after about an hour all burner controls displayed E and the main control flashed 10 16 12 repeatedly. Cycled power and returned later.

I have exactly the same problem...no answer to the 10 12 16 error codes in the use & care guide supplied with the cooktop...good thing I bought the extended coverage on this baby. We found that if we turn the power off and back on we can go for several days before we hear beep-beep-beep in the middle of the night and see the "E" flashing for each burner and the 3 error codes alternating!

We purchased a 36" elite model on ebay for our house we are building. I finally installed a year later only to have error codes 39 & 40. I completely dissasembled it and put it back together. No luck. However after much searching I found the service manual for the 36" Icon by Electrolux (same manufacturer as the Elite). The guts look mostly the same. Manual states your codes 10 16 12 are for defective key sensors. I found out that on my cooktop if I held a key for maybe 20 sec or more it would beep once - indicating the key was not defective.

Smeg induction cooktop flashing E A?

Hi Ross,
The error code E A on your Smeg induction cooktop indicates a communication error between the electronics of the cooktop and the specific burner. This could be caused by a fault in the electronics of the burner, a wiring issue, or a problem with the main control board of the cooktop.
You can try to reset the cooktop by turning off the power supply to it and then turning it back on after a few minutes. If the error code persists, it is recommended to contact Smeg customer service or a certified technician for assistance in diagnosing and repairing the issue.

What does Error code 35 on an induction cooktop mean

A quick web search of "Error code 35 induction cooktop" seems to indicate a possible bad control board in the unit, but you would need to get more specific about the make/model of the unit to know for sure. A Google search should help you find the answer but that seems to be the most common one and mostly relating to Kenmore units.

Prestige induction cooktop showing error E4

Good Afternoon friend, I appreciate your inquiry!

Typically on an Electrolux induction cooktop the "E4" error code stands for key sensor for timer. Which means you could be experiencing an issue with the right board, center board, or left board. I would perform a reset on your cooktop and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes.

If that does not assist with clearing any false error codes or the error "E4" continues to display I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. Hopefully this helps. -Matt

Kenmore Elite Induction Cooktop Error Code 41

I realize this is over a year old. I have the same unit with the same error code. Last night, mine made a popping noise followed by smoke and then displayed the 41 and all E's. I pulled the breaker immediately. I'm sure that at least one controller board is toast.
I called Sears and it is under warranty but for parts only, so I guess I will give them a call and schedule the repairman. This should be fun.

Anyone else experienced this failure??
