SOURCE: how can i download games for my new psp-3004?

Nice try, but this does not apply to his or this psp. aka the 3000 series (lite). As of now there is no hack for the lite psp. The solution that chris is posting is for the phat or og psp that first came out. The 1000 series. You cannot go back to 1.50 on a slim psp. Because there was none made with 1.50fw. If you try to downgrade your psp you will brick (kill) your psp. The only way you can d/l games is through sony's psn store and there all psx (PS1 games). And you have to pay. Any more question pls feel free to ask.

SOURCE: how to hack psp 3004

The newer PSP models cannot be downgraded. You need an earlier model (ie 2.0 psp and previous)

SOURCE: from where to download free games for psp-3004

If you go to some sites like psp-vault.com you can find games people made and put up for other people, but they can be kind of hard to use, so be sure to read the instructions.

Im trying too put the internet on my PSP 3000... but on the psp it said the SSID isnt supported...help plzz

Hi there... There is a point where you enter manually the SSID while trying to connect to your wireless network right? That point is the cue. The SSID you put in your PSP must be THE SAME (ultimately) with the NETWORK NAME, in order to communicate to it directly. Say, if your network is named MYHOME, your SSID in your PSP should also be MYHOME and putting it MY HOME (with space) will result to error. That's apart from the network password (WEP key) that you input in the next field...
Hope this helps...

I have a new psp and and to connect to the internet i need a ssid code but i didnt get one when i bought it

A service set identifier (SSID) is a name that identifies the network. To connect to a wifi network with your PSP follow these steps:
1. Flip the WLAN switch to 'ON'
2. Select Network Setup from the main menu after that select the Network Settings
3. Select Infrastructure mode > Create new connection
4. Select Scan and choose your WiFi`s SSID (name)

How can i get my SSID of my PSP?

Well the SSID isn't given by the PSP.
A SSID is given by the router, which the PSP connects to or otherwise known as your Router name.
By default your router should be showing its SSID publicly so nothing to do there.
On your PSP scan for wifi networks to connect to in the list of access points you'll see names under SSID.
Select and connect and enter the security key of your router if needed.

Cannot connect to wifi in psp

Hi zablancruzma,

To be able to connect your psp wirelessly you need to know the settings of your router. I've listed the steps on how to get the information on your router and Connecting your psp to the internet.

How to access the Router:

1. You need to know the ipaddress of your router. You can refer to the manual or check the Default Gateway of your computer (Make sure that you connect the computer to the router using an ethernet cable for you to get the Default Gateway). Click on START then RUN. Type CMD on the small box on the lower left of the screen. Type IPCONFIG on the black window and get the value of your DEFAULT GATEWAY (it starts with 192.168.x.x)

2. Open a Browser, Type the DEFAULT GATEWAY on the address bar of your Browser. It will ask you for a username and password. (Refer to the manual of your router or post a reply so that i can provide you the username and password of your router)

3. Go to the Wireless Settings Page of your router. Look for the SSID or the Network Name and the Network Key or Passphrase. You can personalize it so that you can easily remeber the details.

4. Make sure you connect to your SSID and enter the Network Key to make it secure.

How to connect your PSP

1. Open Psp
2. Go to Network Settings
3. Go to Infrastructure Mode
4. New Connection (then select available connection)
5. Under Wlan Setting choose Enter Manually or Scan your SSID
6. SSID (Select your SSID)
7. Wlan Security Setting (WEP/WPA/WPA2)
8. Enter you Network Key
9. Test Connection Settings

and lastly Rate me if this helps so i can help others.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Cannot enable wma playback. don 't know ssid number

You could only enable your wma playback by connecting your psp to internet, ssid simply means wireless network name. If you are trying to connect to internet you will be ask for ssid which means that you should be in a wifi area to connect you to the available network name.
