SOURCE: picture is not coming on samsung spn4235

Remove the Power Supply cable to Y Main board and check the Vs voltage in Power Supply board.
1. Vs voltage is OK, replace the Logic board or Y Main board.
2. Vs voltage is NG, replace the Power Supply board.

SOURCE: Samsung TV won't turn on- trying to fix it. A challenging problem

I had the same problem. I live in NJ and called the local authorized "service provide" listed on the Samsung website. What a joke. Quoted $350 just to show up, never showed up. So I opened my own TV. Took off the plastic back (10 screws) took off the large metal RF shield (12-14 screws) and noticed a blown component. The markings on the component were KL15L and it is apparently an NTC Thermistor. Obviously it got fried and not knowing if there was other damage I decided to set out to replace the entire Power PCB Board Assembly and not the component. There were two part numbers on the assembled board (BN97-00457E & BN94-00622E). After searching online I also found a suitable replacement number for these (BN96-04896A). I found two places who claimed to have the part or have it on order (shopjimmy.com and vancebaldwin.com). After placing orders with both and having neither come through, I broadened my search and found out that the LNR409D was basically the same model as my LNR408D so I looked for its Power PCB Board Assembly part number which turned out to be BN41-00521B. Google search for that part number showed the item available on ebay. I bought it a week ago (ebay 260311519904) for $144 plus $12 shipping. I removed the bad board an hour ago (6 screws about 7 connectors) installed the new one, plugged in the connectors, replaced the covers, plugged in the TV... AND IT WORKS!
Suggestion: If your TV is out of warranty then open it up (what have you got to lose) and see if the problem is obvious and maybe something you can fix (replace) yourself. The parts, spare boards, etc. are out there if you look.

SOURCE: my samung spn4235 powers up, I have sound but no

Sounds like the inverter board for the lights is dead. You can verify this by taking a flashlight and shining it on the screen up close while its running to see if you see picture. If you do then the inverter board is dead. Rare occasions will the inverter board be fine, but the bulbs die.
If you don't see a picture then your power supply might have a problem with the rails supplying the video and light.

SOURCE: my samsung plasma tv went out and it just makes a

It was not your power board, Thought the same on several repairs.Found out it was the main board. The clicking was the tuner relay. I bet you own a SP-R4232. If so,The part you need is BN41-00574A. Also might be under BN94-00669A. Hard to find. Try Shop Jimmy/Or Encompass Parts. Not cheep tho. Hope this info helps.
Have a happy new year. Todd

SOURCE: Which Replacement Power Board for LNT4665F Samsung LCD TV?

Howdy,
It would be a lot cheaper if you just replace the two caps that have gone bad. Just get a cheap solder pencil from the store and about an inch of solder and you are in business.
The Power Supply Board is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

Thaks for using FIXYA, BIG IRISH.

TV wont turn on sometimes. push the on button, light turns from red to blue but no display or sound. If I disconnect the power cord for 15-20 min and plug it back in to the tv it will turn on and stay

My Samsung started doing that and it got worst and worst. Searched the web and find answer. It was the high voltage circuit. All TVs now are like computer and it check for 390 to 400 volts and if it is below, the TV will not turn on. Good thing the Samsung has only one capacitor showing the high voltage circuit. Measure the voltage was 381 volts. The capacitor was rated at 100 uf at 450 volts. From some old TV and power supply, got two capacitors rated 150 uf and 220 uf both at 400 volts. Had to connect them in parallel and took out the old capacitor. Now, my TV works fine.

Samsung TV LN40B500P3f - No Picture ; just audio Hello, Our Samsung LN40B500P3f TV audio display is black; audio works fine. If I turn TV off and then back on the picture does display for a few secon

The set will need to be properly diagnosed to narrow down the problem. You could be looking at a bad inverter, bad CCFL lamp, fault in power supply or main board.

i have a $1256 samsung 40'' lcd i have had it for about 1.5 years..just long enough for the warranty to expire..i went to turn the tv on like nomal but all i got was a ed blinking light..and than it would go out after the relay inside clicked a few times.tryed all the to fix it my self..new power cord, diffrent outlet, letting it sit unpluged for 24hrs.ect..finally i took it off the wall took the back off to see if any fusses were blown out. nothing it all looked good to me.so i took my air commpeser to it and blew the whole thing out..put it all back together..and it turned on red light was off and just a hint of light at the edge of the screen...so i was like ok and began to play my ps3 and after about 45 min i just shut off ..nothin would work back to the blinking ed light.i have not messed with it for 3 weeks and yesterday tryed it again.nothin but relay click and red light...so i hit my tv at the bottom by the switch and i came on...i couldnt believe my eyes..it was short lived after watching it for 5 hrs tuned it off and went to bed...in the morning i ran down stairs to turn on my tv..but yet again black..i was not going to spend $300 to $700 to get it fixed..so to day i got my air commpeser and blew it out again..this time i was messing with the power cord right where is hooks to the tv and the red light stayed on solid like it was in stand-by so i pressed the power button and it turned on..so long story..check the power cord and blow out you tv.."but be carful"

Sony DVD player color adjustment (Model #DVP-N5400D)

Solved the problem!Well, After reading two manuals on the Sony DVD player, I saw one cable not connected: the S Video connection. I connected that. Tried it out again, seemed a little better, but still not the full range of reds. At that point I thought the problem was either: 1) the cables from the DVD player to the TV or 2) the DVD player is the problem So, I thought I'd start with replacing the cables. Labeled them as to where they went, took them out and went to Radio Shack and explained my problem. The clerk I spoke to was very nice, said he had seen this problem before, and said there was a menu on the DVD for adjusting RGB settings.
So, I went back home, plugged in the cable, and went all thru the 2 Sony DVD booklets and the display menu on the TV. There was nothing mentioned re: color settings. Went thru the DVD menu many times, looking, looking. I felt I had come up with nothing.
Turned everything off. Turned back on. Put in a DVD: It looks great! :)
So, hoping it never happens again..cause I'm not sure I can repeat it! Maybe it was removing all the cables from their sockets and restarting...I know that sometimes works with computers...anyway.. At least I didn't have to buy a new DVD! Lesson: unplug, re:plug...before you trash it!
