SOURCE: HELP!!!! Philips device manager will not repair!!!
Completely uninstall the Philips Device Manager.
Download the latest version from here:
https://www.p4c.philips.com/files/h/hdd082_17/hdd082_17_pal_eng.zip
Install the new version and run.
Select the repair option and follow the on-screen prompts.
Make sure you are using Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10. If you have Media Player 11 then you will need to uninstall it to roll back to version 10.
Your system may have upgraded to version 11 through Microsoft automatic updates.

Try to defrag the drive .... is not workd thn format it manually frm PC n reset the set hopefully it will get back to normal. i did this with mine go gear n its fine now.

il mio computer non riesce a vedere il lettore Go Gear. Non riesco a mettere nulla sopra proprio perchè non me lo legge. Così ho pensato che mancano dei driver per questo vi chiedo aiuto!!

goto philips.com then under support and elctronics find your model and download the repair utility and run it on your mp3 player try that first you can also put it into recovery mode by holding the volume up button while you connect it to the pc
