The touchpad on this unit is working intermittently. I've unplugged hte unit several times to reboot it and now it's not working at all. Are either of the primary or secondary door switches linket to this unit and could a faulty door switch be the cause of the problem?

Door switches should not effect the control panel. It sounds like you need to replace the control panel.

Won't start but timer works

Check primary and secondary interlock (door) switches. DISCHARGE high voltage components first with no power applied prior to touching anything in the unit. Failure to discharge High Voltage Components can result in death

GE model JVM2070SK02 touch pad not working

Most people, and GE will tell you these are not repairable and you must replace the whole unit for $300 - 500. I can fix them. If you are interested, let me know. [email protected] I can only fix the touchpad not working and it must not be physically damaged. You must be able to take out the control panel and send it to me. It is easy (3 screws and electrical connectors).

okay thats sounds like you have to take your microwave to a repair man.the HV capacitor can be open or the magnetron is bad these 2 components i mention are responsible for the heating of your microwave if they go bad..then your microwave wont heat.good luck.
