1) Turn machine off using the on/off switch on the front of the machine (not at the power socket)
2) Press spin / temperature / cleaning action button together until the display on the machine activates (the current language selected should be flashing)
3) The spin / temperature buttons can be used to scroll up / down through the language options.
4) When you reach the desired language press the cleaning action button to confirm your selected language.

turn it OFF (seems like the wrong thing to do but do it anyway) then press and hold the 3 middle buttons under the display panel until you hear a beep - they are labelled reduced creases, mini load and time saver. When you switch it on again you get the language menu. There are 4 buttons either side of the display - the right 2 scroll through the languages and the top left one sets it once you've found the English setting. Guten Tag!

Hotpoint kindly omit this from the manual. Love 'em!

I believe that You hold the i (info) button and delayed start button simultaneously for five seconds, then the screen reverts to the language choice page. The machine needs to be switched on.

To change the language on the Hotpoint WDD960P/G/A/K washer dryer.
The official manual is slightly wrong!!
So Follow these steps:
With the machine in the "OFF" position (NO display) Simultaneously press and hold the Delay+Temp+Spin buttons until you hear a bleep and a language is displayed. Let go of the buttons and scroll to your desired language by pressing the "Spin" button until the language you want is displayed.
Inmediatly press the "Drying" button to select it and the display should say "Hello" to acknowledge the selection.
If you take too long in pressing "Drying" it reverts to the previous language.

OK the manual has it a little wrong.
What you have to do is switch the power off (not at the wall but on the machine itself)
then press the three buttons for around 5 seconds till you hear a beeb
next time you switch it on it will be back to the language selection
just follow the manual to select.

Assuming you mean JVM1870 you can press the Options pad repeatedly until something about "Idioma" (language) appears, then press 1 for English.

Another first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again. It may default to English.
