I have a doro 640/650r cordless phone, two handsets.....one of the handsets seems to have frozen up and it has 3 symbols on the face...one is a lock which stands for 'Key lock activated' and I can't figure out how to unlock it.........even after reading the manual through several times.

Go to page 2 if you press # on the phone (button 7 in the pdf) this will lock and unlock the phone.

Handsets taken back to dealer. They fixed the problem

I have replace my doro batteries with Duracell rechargeables, just make sure you fully charge them before you put them in the handset.  If you find after a time that the charge goes again, charge them again (in the charger you buy when you buy the batteries)! Hope this helps.  PS, do you know how to turn the answering machine on?

Go to http://www.doro.com.au select home phones then Support then Manuals Then you type in your model which should be on the back of the base unit.

Check that you have the larger power adaptor connected to the base unit.
