Any executable file that you download could potentially harm your computer, this includes files with the following extensions to their names:
.EXE, .COM, .BAT, .CMD, .SCR, .MSI and many more besides.

If you want to safe, then ensure that you have an up to date AntiVirus program installed and that you scan each downloaded file with your AntiVirus before doing anything further with it.

You should never open file attachments sent to you by email from any person that you do not know, and not from anyone you do know if you are not expecting them to send you the attachment - always check with the sender that they did actually send it to you, and it has come from someone using their email address.

Hello I need help to log back in to facebook but cant use the programs because it could harm my computer

Windows warns you that any program could harm your computer. If the program is one you expect to come up, allow it to run. Also download and run Malwarebytes, as a precaution; get it from Download.com

Users manual

I found it, but there doesn't seem to be a way to link you to it. Here is where and how i found it. Go to google: type in search bar..." aml 125 " without the quotes, hit enter. On the first page of results scroll down to site that says "mypdfmanuals.com..." click on it. You will immediately start downloading a file. Once it is downloaded at the end of it is another link for your manual. I got warning messages that it's the type of file that can harm my computer (because it's PDF.) Click Disregard if to get the files. You may not get the warning unless using Chrome or Firefox. I don't know. But the file is ok. Hope this helps. Let me know if my instructions are confusing.

I cant download yahoo messenger it keeps show warning that may harm your computer

I guess you are trying to download it from Google Chrome, if so, it's not actually going to harm your computer, but as a precautionary measure, it only warns you, suppose if in case something is trying to download without your knowledge, this will prevent it from downloading automatically. Simply click "Yes" and download it. If you are not very sure, please follow this LINK and follow the instructions on how to download and install Yahoo! Messenger. Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.

For downloading any software it shows an error message it will harm your computer..

> it will harm your computer

Did it report this, or _MAY_ harm your computer?

It's up to you to decide whether to "trust" the source from where you're downloading. For example, if you accessed 'www.adobe.com' and tried to download Adobe Reader 9.3,
then you can "trust" that the downloaded file will _NOT_ harm your computer.

Whenever i try to download yahoo messenger it puts me a warning saying dat this file u r attempting to download may harm ur computer........y is it giving me dat warning?shudnt i download yahoomessenger?

Hi,
Well my friend there is nothing to worry about. Actually the file you are trying to download is an .exe file which is why you are getting this warning. Actually in swindows mst virus comes in the form of exe(executable) file So this warning comes. No need to panic just download the messanger and install it. There will be no problem in that.

Almost every computer has Adobe Reader installed so it can read information such as your camera manual. Your computer is just warning you that cd's from unknown sources can harm your computer. Don't let that worry you.

When trying to download my new subscription a warning that downloading the exe may damage my computer appears

It is a normal thing to happen, because some .exe file downloaded may harm your PC. Therefore your antivirus software alerts you that you are possibly harming your computer. It will appear if you download any .exe file

Go Here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
and download their anti-malware (free will do). Install, update to latest defs and run a full scan. Hopefully this would remove the trojans, if not comeback and we;ll lookup another solution
