My printer started to jam after I reloded paper. As though only right side being fed through and left side being dragged.paper then starts to crumple and then jams. I have cleared jam checked for paper debri changed paper but it is still doing it. Having difficulty checking rollers as out of reach.

    Hi trobb49

Just wanted to say thank you so much for your solution. I turned the
printer upside down and shook it and out popped a push pin!!!!

Thanks for saving me a good deal of repair money and I hope this will help others.

I also did the shaking. It did not work the first two times, but the third time I shook it more aggressively. I did not see anything pop out or drop out, but it did fix the problem. mbyers

I took one of your readers advice, unplugged the printer, turned it upside down and shook it.
Out popped a push pin and my problem was solved.
Thanks a lot for your help.

I bet that there is still some paper or something else stuck in the lower back portion of the printer. This section appears to be inaccessible to non-techie humans (us!). One person said that turning the machine upside down and shaking forced to piece of plastic to drop out and that solved the problem. You might check with a flashlight to see if you see any paper visible deep down inside and perhaps prod it or cut it with a long knife and shake it to get the pieces to come out. Sorry that i can't provide a more elegant solution.

Lexmark printer wont print

Leading cause of paper jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:

  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
  2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
  3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
  4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
  6. Close the printer cover.
  7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
  8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

I have a lexmark x2550 printer. I was trying to print a document but the paper became jammed so I removed it. I threw away the jammed paper and tried to print the document again loads of times. Everytime i...

If its not taking the paper, it may be that the paper you are using is not the right type. Some papers are too smooth or shiny to allow the guide wheels and platten ( roller) to grip the paper. This oftemn results in no paper or only one side of the paper being caught and then it jams.

Wipe the platten with alcohol, as welol as thye guide wheels if you can see them. Ink tends to stick on them and the platten and becomes shiny ans so paper will slip. Also try a heavier grade paper to see if that rectifies the problem

Lexmark x1240 printer will not print.

Keep your paper feed under 15 pages. The paper will tend to pull to the right, but it will print correctly on the printed page. 20 to 25 pages in the feeder will result in a paper jam. To find the status on the print job, go to your control conter and hit printers. Choose your spicific printer and you may beable to save the printjob.
