Want to reinstall windows Xp on compaq presario v 3000

Try to upgrade your media player or install third party player available on the net which can play dvd.

If you still have a problem then it must be other than drivers, unfortunately you do not state the problem.

You need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require and install them.
