    I have the same problem.
At first it was blury and then later it just stopped working. At first making the camera switch to the second lens made the first lens start working, but now it will not work at all. I have tried the digital zoom fix but with no luck.

I had the same problem. The lower lens wasnt working, but if i zoomed enough the screen would turn back on.. Heres what worked for me.. go into menu, select setup menu, then select digital zoom. and select "off" . now the botton lens should work. take a picture, and then go back into digital zoom menu and select on, and all the zoom views should work!

Error message E45 comes up on camera - What can I do to fix it? Kodak easyshare V610. Message comes up when camera turned on. Batttery charged etc.

Is the lens extended? If so, try hitting the lens a couple of times with the palm of your hand and then turning off the camera. Turn it back on and let me know what happens. Sounds crazy I know, but those things are notorious for that error and that problem. You can also try taking out the SD card and see if the error goes away. Let me know what happens. Thanks.

Errer #45 kodak v610

Hi,

The problem seems to be with your lens guide it is out of track so please follow the step below,
Try forcing the camera lens but be careful while doing this if something goes wrong your camera our lens can be damage

Turn off the camera. Place it on the back with the lens facing up and take a look at the spacing between the lens and the lens housing. If you notice that the gap is not even all the way around the lens, the problem should be easy to fix.

Simply - VERY GENTLY - press down the lens on the side where the gap is the biggest. You should hear a "click" as it pops back into place. Try powering the camera back on.

If the lens doesn't extend at all or it extends, and then retracts again, do the following. Turn the camera off. Take the camera in one hand and with the other gently take one part of the lens and gently move it round in a circular movement. Do so with both sections of the lens. You will hear a "click" as it pops back in place. Power the camera on.

If no luck then contact your Kodak service centre

Thank You

Camera error #e45 kodak digital camera v610

Hello :

This means the lens alignment of your camera is messed up and it will take repair service to fix it. The cost of this might be equivalent to replacing the camera- Better to call KODAK and see what they're willing to do for you.

Not supported solution is to smack the side of the camera . That helped some people with the same error .

Please read this useful link carefully : Kodak cam errors forum

I hope this will help .

Kodak V610 Camera error #45

hi...
The transmission system that moves the lens in and out has a problem with it's gears. There is most likely a gear or an actuator that has fallen out of alignment and is getting stuck at a certain point as the lens comes in/out.There is some disturbacnce of the lens arrangement that is preventing the lens from coming in/out.Any of these symptoms above could trigger the camera to shut itself off to protect itself from further damage.

Lens needs to be manually opened

I just repaired this problem on my daughter's camera today! I took out the 4 tiny screws that hold the front cover on and discovered gunk and goo that were keeping the lens from retracting. Please note the exact position of the screws. They are different sizes. I then very carefully cleaned all the residue using Q-tips dipped in rubbing alcohol. It worked perfectly! Just like new.
