Hi- my dishwasher is about 2 years old. It has started to make a kind of high, loud buzzing sound when it is washing. This machine doesn't seem to have a removeable filter like my old dishwasher, so I think a piece of plastic or something has gotten lodged somewhere. It is washing fine, but will the foreign object work its way out? Is there a way to unscrew the arm and clean out below? Will I damage it by running it? I am hand washing right now.
Thanks
When it is off, reach down around the base of the spray assy and run your fingers around the entire circular base where junk can get caught. I've found broken glass and plastic utensils. Why do some of us wash disposable utensils? Huh? You may find something like a piece of plastic, glass, or the like that is making the noise. Be careful not to cut yourself.
If this buzzying sound is not coming from the tub, and is actually below the tub and in front right side, it is most likely the electrical relay switch ( which can make that sound when it is straining or failing).
