We have a system that uses 30 toshiba dkt-2020-s phones. Two of the phones require a 5 digit code to dial out. The person who knew how to remove this code is no longer with the company. I know the code, how can I remove it from the 2 phones? Thank you, Dan Riley

    Well, I'm now half way there. I now know that I need an Account Code Change Access Code for the 2 Toshiba DKT 2020-S phones we wish to remove the Verified Account Codes from. How can we do this when The "System Administrator" with the access code no longer exists?

Voluntary Account Codes (Verified/Non-Verified)
Voluntary Account Codes are optional. They can be entered during a call and are used 
for tracking selected calls using Station Message Detail Report (SMDR) call detail 
recording option.
If the system is set for Verified Account Codes, station users must enter a specific 
code when entering the Voluntary Account Code(s) or the code is not validated for the 
SMDR call report. This does not affect the call.
There are two ways to dial using a Voluntary Account Code:
To dial using the Account Code button
1. After accessing a CO line, press the $FFRXQW &RGH button. LCD telephones 
prompt you to "ENTER ACCOUNT CODE NOW."
2. Enter the account code digits. The LCD prompt disappears upon entry of the first 
account code digit. After the account code is entered, the time indicator is restored 
in the LCD.
3. If your station is set for Verified Account Codes, you hear confirmation tone when 
the code is valid. If the code is invalid, you hear two short tones. 
4. Enter the Account Code. Your conversation is not interrupted.
To enter an Account Code using access codes
Note It's a good idea to warn the other party that you will be disconnected 
momentarily when you enter the access code. Once the code is entered, you will 
be connected again.
1. After accessing a CO line, press &QI7UQ. Once you press &QI7UQ, your call is 
interrupted; you and the other party cannot hear each other. You will hear feature 
dial tone.
2. Dial . LCD telephones prompt you to "ENTER ACCOUNT CODE NOW."
3. Enter the account code digits. The prompt disappears upon entry of the first 
account code digit. After the account code is entered, the connection is restored 
and the LCD shows the time.

2. Press hold.
3. Press the Flexible Button to set or change.
4. Enter the Flexible Button Code.
5. Press the same Flexible Button (flashing). “DATA PROGRAMMED” appears on your LCD.

Depending on the type of system you have powering the 2020,this should take care of it.

Trying to download a users guide for the toshiba KT-2020

The DKT 2020 was used what a few different Toshiba systems. Users guides were referenced to the model and version of the systen rather than the model of the telephone. With that in mind, here's a link for a DK280 system, Most of the features should work ok.

If using a headset simply use the headset/handset button to release the call. If you actually need the release key it must be done in system programming and requires access to ext 205 and a 2020-SD. here is the key sequence for changing bottom button on right side for ext 200

How do you set the timeand date on a toshiba dkt

Hi there,

Please try this..

  1. From main console phone (lowest extension number i.e. x100) pick up handset and dial following codes:
  2. For Date: 651 YYMMDD Redial ----(YY=year, MM=month, DD=day)
  3. For Time: 652 HHMMSS Redial ----(HH=hours in 24hr clock, MM=minutes, SS=seconds)
  4. For Day of Week: 653 X Redial ----(X=day of week 1=sunday, 2=monday....etc.)
If won't work, try this

From Extension port 00 (usualy station 200)
  1. Lift Handset Dial #652
  2. Enter Correct Time HH MM SS
  3. Press Redial
  4. Replace Handset

The # key does not work on a Toshiba DKT 2002 SD

The older series phones required that you press the * then the # and then the # again to send out the # key signal, you have to do this on each call that the * or # are required. The only way to change this is to change out your phone system and possibably phones to a newer system. Good Luck. ....Mike

Need to set my time on my phone

I think this feature is dependent on your system - the phone display is in agreement with the entire network. Check to see what system your phone is on - ours is a Strata DK-280 - and then search Google to find a total solution to changing time.
