Dropped digital camera and it won't stay on

I dropped my camera and when I tried to turn it on I heard a sizzling sound with the on light blinking on and off and then it would shut off. This happened several times and finally it stopped making any noise when I tried to power it on. Now it won't stay on - it's on for a second or so and then shuts down. I also recharged the battery and it still happens. Any ideas if this is fixable?

S3300 nikon was dropped and now doesn't do anything but show the on light.

It seems rather apparent that you broke your camera when you dropped it. Since you publicly admitted you dropped it, Nikon isn't likely to cover it under warranty. It looks like you need a new camera...

Sorry if that wasn't the answer you wanted but if you break it, you buy it.

Kodak easyshare c1530 won't turn on after slighty dropped

Hello Doris, You can "GENTLY" try to push the lens slowly back into the camera with the palm of your hand, note I said gently and slowly, do not use force !!! Then turn on camera and see if this helped, if not it is repair time.

My samsung TL220 i dropped it won't power on or anything

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on (no power, no lights, no noise, nothing) are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

But if there is some electrical activity, then you're more likely experiencing a lens error. In that case, see this article.

I dropped my canon powershot SD 4500 IS and now it won't turn on! It's survived countless other falls just fine, and would turn on immediately then. All times, including this time, have been when...

Really!....you've dropped your camera "countless" other times and now you're concerned because this time, it won't turn on!!! You're not sure what else to do?!!! How about not dropping your camera. How about using the wrist strap. Your dropping luck has run out...your camera does not have nine lives.

Mp3 was dropped in water and doesn't work anymore

Well the only real thing you can do is to dry it out until no water is left in it and it might work..Usually when these things see water and there on it fries them..but sometimes when they are exposed to water and they are turned of and wait for water to dry they will work again,,Thats not a good sign when you said you heard it sizzle..Thats it shorting out the main board..You might be replacing if when the water dries it doesnt come on thats what happen.Sorry Have A Great Day
