check the leads our pushed in firmly, then turn the dvd player off leave for 5 - 10 mins turn back on and hopefully setup instructions will be displayed on your tv follow them thro and that should fix your problem :D

its an outside chance but if you hold down the power button and the play button together when you plug the player in it usually resets the software. if it doesn't work, what the hell it was a freeby !
Dear Team. I was getting vision but no sound or sound but no vision a right dogs dinner of a mess. What I decided to do was to run the recorder by applying the facory defaults. This reconfigured the freeview side and also it corrected the fault because on setting things up afterwards the recorder did what it was supposed to do. hmm...similar problem here. i've taken the hdd out and plugged it in to the ide port inside my pc. The problem is it's the wrong file system. Your pc will not see it. It is however just a normal hdd so you can re-partition it and give it a new file systm ie ntfs but you lose all the data :(. that's as far as i've got, hope it helps someone.
