Hi.

The question has been posted in dishwasher. I understood that the problem is with a washer. Troubleshooting is similar in both appliances. Below the parts to test.

Check pressure from house, inlet valve, water pressure switch, door switch and electronic control. If this is a dishwasher check if there is residual water at the bottom of the tub on start-up. If this is a washing machine instead of a dishwasher check also the setting of the drain hose.

The user can run a diagnostic cycle and check in what part of the cycle the machine is stalling. The technician can test the parts mentioned above individually reading volts and impedance or jumping contacts.

Regards.

Ginko

Samsung top load washer continuous water filling

here's the part that may be defective....

Call them to verify it's correct for your unit. there's a video too on how to replace it.

If your washing machine won't stop filling, the valve may be damaged or stuck open. Here's how to test it:
  1. Turn your washer on and let it start filling up.
  2. As it's filling, disconnect the power to your washer.
  3. If the water keeps filling, you'll know the water inlet valve didn't close. (It's most likely broken, and you'll need to replace it).
  4. Immediately turn off the water so the washer doesn't overflow.
Best to you

Whirlpool awm 1200/1

check the pump to see if anything is clogged in there or you could have a bad pump, open the door and look around the opening and you'll see the full model number.also if it stops at the rinse cycle does it fill with water and the water is in there but doesn't drain or are the clothes just sitting there wet, because when in rinse the machine just uses cold water and if the valve is clogged or filling slowly the washer will stop after like 6 minutes, does any error codes come up?you can try to start the washer just on cold water and see if the water fills slowly or if it comes in normally,if it comes in slow most likely that will be your problem,if it is the pump you can get a shop vac and suck out the water from the drain hose, get it as close to the floor as you can and it will work better, then remove the center part of the pump, the clean out and see if it's filled with stuff, turn it slowly, when water comes out vac it up with shop vac until it stops.hope this helps you out.

I put in a load. The machine filled up but did not stop filling. The dial did not proceede to next step, it stayed at the 10. Overflowing EVERYWHERE. When we moved the dial manually to spin, it drained...

your fill switch is either bad or "gllitched" and the timer cannot move until this switch senses the right amount of water for the load unless its an electronically sensed water/load capacity filled machine, when it starts, the water fills the unit and the pressure switch shuts the water fill off when at selected water level and powers the timer to continue the wash cycle,it works off a "bellows" on air pressure to change a switch by air pressure to operate the machine when full of water

Won't complete cycle, stops at rinse. and can't get hot water.

Are you on well water? turn off the cold water to the washer and clean the screen filter out. do not leave filter out.
the machine probably has a cold only final rinse so it won't work properly.

Whirlpool washer continuouse water water runninng into tub

try turning the mach off while it is spinning and filling.if it continues to fill or drip heavy, the mixing valve is not closing completely and needs to be replaced.if the water stops when the mach is turned off, there is a problem with the pressure switch.

Washer continues to fill after full, then spills all over floor until manual shut off

This is an indication of a pressure switch malfunction. Post back with your washer brand name and model number and I can tell you how to check it.

Washer continues to work even if water is not filled to top and even if i try to stop continues to spin

A defective pressure switch can interfere with the cycles that depend upon the switch to indicate when water has filled or emptied from the tub. It can also result in underfilling or overfilling of the tub. The switch routes current from the timer control to the temperature switch and the water inlet valve when the tub needs to be filled. Once full, the pressure switch cuts the current and reroutes it to the motor on the timer control to continue the cycle.

Front load washer stops and starts and door lock light remains on

You probably have a bad door latch or door interlock. Both, if defective will cause the symptoms you describe. The door must remain closed and lock before a wash cycle will begin, and for it to complete properly.
