Sansa Clip with invisible podcast files

I have a Sansa Clip and two Sansa e200 series players. I use all for ripped music, ripped books on CD and audio books with DRM from our local library via a program called Overdrive. All work great. I've recently started grabbing podcasts from BBC, NPR and CBC, using Juice. I usually drag the mp3 podcats files to one of the players. I noticed that the Clip does not "see" these files, even though they show up in the Clip contents in My Computer. The other files I mentioned show up and play fine. I tried using Winamp to move the podcast files to the clip, successfully, but the player still doesn't show them. The weird thing is that if you look at the contents of the Clip in Winamp, the files show up and you can even play them using Winamp. The same files work fine with the other two players. I thought I'd earlier played these same podcast files with the Clip, but now I'm not sure. Ideas?

The podcats that aren't recognized may be in AAC instead of Mp3 format. Use Media Monkey or some other free software to convert them to mp3 format.

1) You need to set the "tags" in the music files ... artist, album and song name. I would suggest opening up the files in MediaMonkey, which will let you edit the tags.

2) After you download the podcasts with MediaMonkey, you need to find out where they exist on your disk. Then, copy them to your Clip using Windows Explorer.

Download music

Music is stored on your computer (or on the Internet) as .mp3 files. You can rip (convert) them from your own CDs or find them online for sale (like at Amazon) or as free songs (Google "mp3 blog".

Here are videos showing you how to get the music on the player. Look at No. 5 and 6.

The Sansa plays other files as well as .mp3, but start with .mp3, the most popular and least complicated kind of music file.
