The oven/broiler works sometimes preheat comes on as it should but no heat,
top burners no problems, cold start oven/broiler works fine, during cycling on/off heat stops comming on after 1 hour or so.
I'm thinking main valve solenode?
Thanks Bruce
This oven has only one gas valve, that supplys the top burners that i never had a problem with.
The bottom oven burner with it's own ignitor, and the top broiler with it's own ignitor. so i can't see replacing both ignitors.Don't think both ignitor could stop working at the same time then work the next time we use the oven/broiler again with their own ignitor. I'll ohm out the temp sensor. but I never saw one work most of the time then stop working. And then start working again. any other pointers.
Thank B.K.
Check both gas valve solonoids for 216 ohms [blue broiler wire to the orange common and red oven wire to orange common] both must be ok.
Check oven temp sensor for 1080 ohms.
If above are ok then the problem is either the spark module or the control board.
Since the gas valve was not opening and there was not ignitor sound I replaced the spark module for about $90. You have a 50-50 chance of being right.
My range is relitively new and I'm haveing an oven light problem which I traced to the control board so I may replaced this board to for about $200.

Cook top works fine, oven has a mind of its own. Sometimes when I put the oven on over 425 degrees I don't have a problem.
Same problem, igniters both work fine (broiler and bake), tested both temp sensors and both appear to work fine (1025+ ohms and rise steadily during heat up). No problem with gas valve. Problem occurs intermittently but happens more often when on broil. The gas will start and ignite on the broiler, gas flow works fine, then the relay clicks on the control board and the gas shuts off, oven display still indicates broil. Same problem happens during bake but less frequently, so my problem seems to point to the control board. I'll post again when I determine which component is failing on the control board (I'm too stubborn to pay $200 for a new one)
