HP Business Inkjet 1200 --all lights ablaze, printer won't reset BEWARE 1-800-532-4187 IS SPAM

Replaced the black print head as it was out of date. The printer didn't want to accept it; had to insert several times before it was finally accepted. But then all the panel lights came on. Unplugged, restarted, a test page attempts to print, stops partway into the machine and, shazam, all the lights come on again. I have unplugged and restarted four times now; each time with the same results. I know there is a combination of start-up buttons that will force the printer to reset but, for the life of me, cannot recall the combination and I have a 326 page manuscript that needs to get printed. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    I have the same problem. I removed my printheads to clean them, and then replaced them in the printer. Now I can print a page or two, but then it just stops and all of the lights turn on. I updated the firmware to the most recent version on HP's website, but the problem still remains. Anyone have any solutions?

    Same thing here..

    But i cant turn the printer off using the power button...

    Looks like the printer freeze after start...

    If i take a colour away, it doesnt notice it...

    Some1 an idea :) ?

  • To reset the network configuration follow the instructions below:
    1. Press the Configuration Page button once.
    2. Press the Resume button three times.
    3. Wait for about 20 seconds and then press the Power button to turn off the printer.
    4. Disconnect the power cord from the printer.
    5. Wait for about 20 seconds and then reconnect the power cord.
    6. Press the Power button to turn on the printer.
  • Not sure if this will resolve other issues, but it's the only reset I know of.

    HP Business Inkjet 1100 stops everytime after the first line stars to print. The power is one, the ink drop light is lit, the "yellow" indicator light also on, and the paper light all on. None of them blinking. We replaced the yellow cartridge with a brand new HP 11 yellow cartridge. Turned the printer off and on to reset. Printer comes on everything looks good till you try to print anything, even a on line word doc? Then it happens again, so we replaced the yellow again...same thing.     Hp business inkjet 1200, replaced ink cartridge

    the error's you were getting on the CIS could have been from the chip. Try setting the date back on the computer or on the printer back 1 year. See if that makes a difference (if you still have the CIS and the printer). Best advice, get an updated chip.

    Some of print heads may be failed.First clean very well the contacts on the print heads and printer using piece of cotton and some alcohol.If not help look which color don't print and replace that print head.

    Can you tell me exactly what is not printing right? If you could provide more detailed descriptions I can at least make some suggestions. How long does it work for after replacing the cartridge?

    Hp 1200 business inkjet help

    I have a solution that is very similar to that printed above.
    I have tested it on five installations on the computers on my home network and an HP Business Inkjet 1100, and the PCs running Win XP SP3.
    Step 1) If you are setting up the printer from the HP CD, decline the question where it asks if you want to print a test page, (this will avaoid the first print job before re-setting the dates).
    Step 2) Reset your clock back to a year prior to the year when your cartidge expired.
    Step 3) Print a test page, or two. Or a few pages from any application.
    Step 4) Reset your clock back to the current year.
    The printer now prints fine. Since I performed the sequence above I have been printing with the "expired" cartridges for a few weeks. I have printed on about 15 occasions over the past few weeks, amounting to about 50 pages. No problems so far. I don't know how long this solution lasts or whether I will have to go through it again.
    I have gone through a few different "solutions", including a Registry hack that didn't work, but this simple solution above has worked every time on five different installations.
    I did not need to turn the printer on/off, and did not need to re-boot the computers.
    However, if I sent a print job to the printer before performing the sequence described above, and the printer gave an "expired cartridges" error, then I would need to turn the printer on/off to clear the error, and flush the print queue.

    Problem printing with HP Business inkjet 1200 1-800-532-4187 IS SPAM

    I have a HP Business Inkjet 1220 Printer, and the block ink cartridge light is flashing. I replaced the cartridge with a brand new one, closed the door, and black ink light is still flashing. I put in another neew black ink cartridge, closed the door, and same issue- black cartidge ink light flashing. I cannot print- what to do?
