I have an Acer X223W 22" widescreen monitor, that has really bad ghosting when scrolling text. I have the latest drivers for the monitor also for my video card, have also updated my motherboard chipset drivers. also running the native resloution on the monitor, which is 1680 x 1250. my system is as follows;
Cpu - P4 3.06 533 FSB
Ram - 2gb
Video - GeForce 256mb
Motherboard - VIA P4PB400
600 watt power supply.
Any ideas on this?
Hi...there,
It's seems you need to reset your WB (white blance). Open your on screen display and look for WB settings... Good lucks!
Hey...Dude,
You're not listening...The Nvidia Card had nothing to do with it....Your Monitor need to reset the White balance. Open up your on screen display on your LCD monitor and look for the WB settings and reset the white balance... That will get ridoff the ghosting.....effect!
hEY...
Well, in your on screen display... look for a color palette. open the color menu and see if there a white blance there. Every monitor on screen display is different. If no lucks! Just replaced a new a AD board.

Re: Clarification Request, Yes I have tried a new video card. The video card that I`m using now is a upgrade to try to fix my ghosting problem. It didn`t help. I have tried varies setting on this card and doesn`t make any difference with ghosting problem. Anti-aliasing settings are at application controlled and Refresh rate is set at 60hz, the recommended setting for LCD monitors, but I have tried up to 75hz.
Reply to Fix-4U,
I`m not sure what you mean by resetting my WB. I looked through the settings on my video card and my monitor and didn`t see anything like WB. Could you explain where to find this setting and how to reset it,
Reply to Fix-4U,
I have been through every setting on my monitor, including the color menu and there is not a setting or adjustment for white or white balance. Also this is a new monitor, about 6 weeks old and it has had this ghosting problem from the day that I got it. Thats why I replaced my video card and my power supply, thinking that they were the problem. Also my original video card would not support the monitors native resolution of 1680 x 1050. I guess my only option is to return the monitor as defective or send back to Acer for a warranty repair.
what are your nvidia settings at eg. anti alliasing refresh rate?
have you tried new video card?
