Computer was working fine. I try to turn it on today, and it says "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Devise and press a key." I tried pressing "F9" to enter the "recovery mode," but it doesn't work. Did the hard drive crash?

When you reboot, go to BIOS, restore factory BIOS settings. If that doesn't help, you'll need to reinstall your OS.

Go to your BIOS by pressing the delete key as your computer boots up.
Find boot disk priority and set first boot device to your hard drive.
I suggest you unplug any flash drives as you boot the laptop.

Hi you will need skillful guy to restore your PC Operating system if you had reformatted your hard drive. To restore your O/S without having your recovery CD is to ask from your vendor a copy of it and re-install again. You can do it by having an external DVD driver, change the boot sequence in start up and presto you can reload again your O/S and other applications. Don't forget btw to load the driver in order your PC to work properly.
