Can anyone tell me where I can get carbon brushes for a Bosch WFMC1001UC/09 washing machine. Bosch does not sell or list the part. They say you have to replace the motor as a unit. The number on the old brushes is 24L 717.

SOURCE: installing carbon brushes on Bosch WFK 2401

Remove rear panel of washer.
Remove drive belt.
Unscrew the 2 bolts that hold motor to tub back.
Remove motor plug
Lever notor back with a screwdriver or similar, keeping a firm hold on motor.and remove motor
At the rear end of motor away from pulley you will see the brushes and the armature.
Remove brushes, and if there is less than 4 or 5mm of carbon left, then replace them.
Lightly clean the armature with emery cloth.
Refit in reverse order. Test.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

I just did this. Fitting the new brushes was fiddly but not impossible. Its easier if you remove the motor first as this makes access a lot easier.

You shouldn't have to buy a new motor just because the brushes went bad, someone makes the brushes to put in new motors
