SOURCE: unit cools but has only low speed. is fan bad or control board

Hi Joe, it could be one or the other, or may be just the switch. About the only way you will know which one it is, is if you have a meter that will read the voltage up to 220 volts if that is what voltage the unit is. I have seen 3 speed motors have one speed fail before, you would have to get the the leads behind the fan knob and with the switch in high position, check for power from the high speed wire to ground to see if you are reading 120 volts. Same on the switch, you would kill power and remove wires from switch. With the meter set on continuity, when its turned to high, your leads should be one on high terminal and the other to ground. You should have a reading depending on the range your meter is set when switch is on high, and nothing when off to ground. This is the only way to know. If the switch checks out, continuity out when its turned to high, or you have power going to the motor lead that's for high to ground, its the motor. If you have no meter, you can pick one up very cheap at a hardware store as low as $10.00 to do this check. You can use it for many other things on your auto and in home also. Try and do these checks, and keep me posted. Please be kind when rating me if I have been of help to you. I will be here if you have more questions.
Sincerely,

PS If no continuity on the switch when turned to high, the switch is faulty. I really don't feel it is a board problem.

My 50" ps50b451b2w Samsung has just had a new main

Clicking sounds like a bad power board. There are small relays on power boards that would make a clicking noise.

I don't know why a main board would have been replaced for that, as I don't know of any main boards with relays or anything that would cause a clicking noise on them.

Comes on sometimes and other times it doesn't

Assuming you have satisfied the solution posted earlier and pushed the right button then you more than likely have problems with your power board. Usually when a power board goes out is when it's turned ON or OFF. Which is the hardest thing you can do to a TV, even though it is necessary it sometimes comes on and has a high level of voltage hit a already weakened part such as a N Channel MOSFET Transistor. When they are cool and voltage hits them if it has been weakened through Metal Fatigue then it may open on up or simply fuse together and short out. Depending on where it is located the diagnostic circuits could pass it sometimes and other times it will malfunction and the diagnostic circuits will detect it and prevent the set from coming on. It is a competent that is going bad but just hasn't completely burnt out yet. That's why the problem is intermittent. I am sure that eventually you will need a new power board.Gillight

Sometimes, when I stomp the 7 button the peadlboard turns off and I have to unplug it and then plug it in again and this way it works..But it's annoying and I can't do it while I'm playing a...

Don't stomp so hard... the switches don't need a lot of pressure... You may be flexing the circuit board and causing a power loss resetting the internal microprocesssor. You might open the unit an look for board cracks near the 7 button. Theatrics of stomping does not improve the music and can damage these boards or any other pedals. Try gently working it and see if it still fails... if not, open the unit and look for bad solder, circuit board cracks, etc. as apparently the force is causing something to open up.

Your problem requires very skilled LG technician to check the wiring circuit from the control board to the motor and hall sensor. Very possible that the control board is bad but highly unlikely. Suspect the wiring harness with high resistance to the motor.

Hi drembert35,

Try dis-assemble the remote control, and clean it from inside, using Akia Spray or something, but be carefull to not use cleaning fluid which would erase the button connection with the board, so just use spray, and if you don't have one, use the water, and dry it fine before connectng the battaries to it.

and see if the buttons work fine, after doing this, and if not, do this, and don't get surprised,

use a cigarette package paper, the silver paper, and cut a circle from it, in the size of button, and put the conductor side of the paper on the board, on the buttons which don't work with you, and fix it good, then assemble the remote again.

that's if not the 1st soultion of cleaning didn't work.

and Let me know.

Keypad not working

you will need to take the case off the phone and check behind the buttons where the pads touch the circuit board these sometimes get greasy or dusty causing it to not create a conection between button and the circuit board clean the circuit board with dry dust free cloth look for signs of grease or water damage if this is clean or after cleaning put phone back together and try buttons if they still dont work you could try replacing the keys that you press as sometimes after alot of use these fail to connect with the board properly causing buttons not to work if you replace these and still dont work then it could be a warped board this happens if you have sat on phone or had it in pocket and let on something causing pressure on the case and this will warp the board their is no cure for this the only thing to do is buy new phone as a new board will cost as much as the phone hopefully this is not the case it might just need your keypad replacing try my first two sollutions first if this dont change anything then i would take it to repair shop and see if they think it is a warped board hope this is some help to you
