Please let me know if there is a technical reference or service manual for the PC1060 (including Image Class D860) printers.

MXM450, Please let me know how to replace the fuser. I have spent an hour trying to get to the fuser but am not sure if it is from underneath the feeder assembly, or through the toner cartridge door.

Changed fuser now scanner head stuck

hi i am a certified Canon tech on this copier. the problem you have is due to the scanner cable that runs from the top of the scanner to the main board in the back of the machine. what happens is when you take the scanner unit off to get to the fuser screw holes the cable should be removed from the main board under the rear panel with alot of screws. some people when they put the scanner unit back on they dont watch the position of the cable and when the unit slides back to open the cartridge door the cable is pulled part way out of the board connecter. the first thing i would do is to remove the back cover and chech the connector for the scanner cable to see if the cable is in all the way. also sometimes i have found that some one has pinched the ribbon cable damaging it underneath the scanner and replacing it with a new cable took care of the problem. the cable cost around $20. hope this helps.
