The problem is the fact the nintendo ds only supports only one security setting which is 128 bit wep. You were probaly trying to connect to a modem with wpa2 or something else. If you want your ds to connect, consult your modem's manual to change the security to 128 Bit WEP and think of a ten character password (no less or it won't work).

Cannot connect with wifi on mobile.

For wifi connection:
1. Make sure that you have a working modem router in your premise.2. Turn the modem/router on.3. Select settings icon from your mobile phone.4. Select Wireless Connection or WI-FI connection.5. Select options, then select connect.6. You will be asked for the WEP or WPA key. This is depending on what is the security option that you selected in the modem settings. (for modem settings you can contact your internet service provider or OEM for the modem)7. If you are aware of your pre shared key, just type it in the password option from the mobile screen.8. Once connected, you can use the wifi as your active connection access.

I how can i connect to the internet by uesing my nigbor internet

First of all,you should have your neighbour permision. Then you'll need the security key for his/her
wifi/router. Go to the DS menu, choose system settings and then Internet. Select advanced set up, choose a connection and search for an access point. You should be able to find your neighbours wifi in the list. If you don't know which one it is, ask your neighbour. Enter the security key and you should be connected. However, if your connecting from your house, the connection may be slow or the signal may too weak to connect at all, which means you'll have to get closer.

How you connect to the internet to the DSI

hi there,
assuming you have a wifi connection in your home, this is what you need to do to connect the dsi to your wifi. 1. turn on your router and make sure you have a still wifi light on. then power on your dsi and click on the wrench icon, this takes you to the settings menu. 2. go to page 3 and select internet. 3. click on connection settings and then click on "none" next to connection1. 4.click search for access point(this will search for your wifi signal from your router) look for your router ssid, (linksy, belkin, netgear etc...) whichever type of router you have. your router should have security on it so the gold padlock will be locked and at this point once you select your wifi signal, you will be asked for a security/network key. This key will be on the back of your router, it will be a mixure of letters and numbers and will have either of these in front of it. wep/wpa/wpa2 and then you security key. now carefull and enter this key exactly as it is on your router(i.e. small letter, capital letter, number etc..) also if it looks for security type, make sure its the same as what's on your router(wep/wpa/wpa2). once this is done you should be connected. if for some reason your wifi does not have security, complete steps 1-4 and just select your wifi connection and you should be good to go. Hope this helps.

Error code 051099

It appears that the settings entered into the Nintendo DS are not compatible, or the router's broadcast settings should be changed.

What we need to do is try creating a new connection with your system.
1. Turn on your Nintendo DSi and access the System Settings by clicking on the wrench icon
2. Scroll over to the third page, and select "Internet."
3. Now choose "Connection Settings."
4. Click on "None" for "Connection 1." (Don't see "None" for Connection 1? To ensure any existing settings don't interfere with getting connected, tap the button, then choose "Clear Settings.")
5. Click on "Search for an Access Point."
6. The Nintendo DSi will search for any wireless networks within range. Once it is finished searching, it will display the names of all the wireless networks it finds.
Look for your wireless network.
7.What to do next will depend on the "lock" icon you see next to your network on the Nintendo DSi.

You will now have 3 options
A. GOLD UNLOCKED LOCK (No security - Tap on your network name to save the settings and begin a connection test.)
B. GOLD LOCKED LOCK
WEP security - Your wireless network is secured with WEP and requires a security key.

Follow the steps now depending on your option
A.
Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes." The connection test was successful - Your Nintendo DSi is now connected online.
The connection test was not successful - If the test was not successful, you will receive an error code. LET ME KNOW WHAT IT IS

B. WEP security - Your wireless network is secured with WEP and requires a security key.
Enter your WEP key
On the upper screen you will be informed that "A security key is needed to connect to this access point." Enter your security key by tapping the empty field, and select "OK" when finished.

Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes."

The connection test was successful - Your Nintendo DSi is now connected online.

  • The connection test was not successful - If the test was not successful, you will receive an error code.
    • Error Code 51300 or 51099: This means the security code entered into the Nintendo DSi is not the same one the router is set to. Scroll back up to step #3 of this page for the step-by-step directions. To reach your connection settings, click "back" on the error code screen. Make sure to pay extra attention to the security key you find in your router's settings and enter it exactly as it appears (the key is case sensitive).
    • All other error codes: Let me know what it is.

This code means, that you changed the security options of the web browser. To solve this problem, you have to create a new connection.
    1. System settings
    2. Internet
    3. Connection settings
    4. Choose the "None" button at "Connection 1" (If there is a connection, choose "Clear Settings")
    5. Let's "Search for an Access Point"
    6. Choose your own wireless internet connection (or which you use at home)
    7. Then you have to choose the security type:
    - If no security (Unlocked yellow lock), then everything is okay, choose "OK", then "Save settings", then "Yes"
    - If WEP security (Locked yellow lock), then enter your routers password for internet (WiFi password), then "OK" -> "OK" -> "Save settings" -> "Yes"
    - If WPA security (Locked silver lock), then you have to get back to "Advanced Setup", so tap the back button twice, until you get back to connections screen, choose "Advanced Setup", then choose "None" at "Connection 4" (If there isn't none, then "Clear Settings"), then "Search for an Access Point", give in your router's WPA key (WiFi password), then "OK" -> "OK" -> "Save settings" -> "Yes"

Here is an interactive site for the problem:
