I have a VTech 6929 Phone system. I have tried everything in the manual instructions, but I cannot set up my mail box. I had it previously, and somehow it is gone. Can you help?

Question edited for clarity.

This phone system has two features.

Answerphone system which records messages to the unit.
and
Voice Mail System which is an extended (often paid) service from your telephone provider.

Sometimes a glitch at the Telcom will remove your Voice Mail. You will need to phone their customer service number and ask why they stopped the service you previously enjoyed? They will be able to put it back in place.

How do I retrieve my voicemail?

Well, if it's an iPhone I may be able to help :) once you delete a voicemail from your log, it'll go to deleted messages. Scroll to the bottom of your voicemails for the deleted messages button and there you can retrieve all deleted voicemails. Now, if you deleted your voicemail from there too, then your best bet would be calling your phone company and see if they could possibly retrieve it. Again, this is for an iPhone, I'm not sure how it works on any other device. Hope that helps! :)

Lost directions on uniden cordless phone DXAI8580-2, unable to access message as code using does not work????

If you mean the PIN for remote access, that's a two-digit number. If you've forgotten what it is, you can change it at the base station by following the instructions on page 12 of the manual.

If you mean the messages on your telephone company's voicemail system, try dialing *67 (that's star-six-seven). If that doesn't work, contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Retrieve message remotely

The VTech 6041 isn't an answering machine. If you have a separate answering machine connected to your phone line, please consult its documentation. If you're subscribed to a voicemail system provided by your telephone company, please contact them for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Alternatively, if you do have an answering machine connected to your phone, reply to this post and specify the make and model of your answering machine.

I have voicemail through my telephone company. Recently my SAMSUNG SGH-D980 phone system has been answering the calls for voicemail, instead of going to my phone company voicemail. I am being left messages that I cannot retrieve! I would like to "turn off" the voicemail function of my phone system. I'm not sure why the phone changed from working "properly" to now picking up voicemail calls. Thank you for any help you can give me!

Cannot retrieve voicemail

It's either a message stored on the device itself, or you unknowingly have remote voicemail with your phone service provider.

Call your phone company or visit their website for instructions on how to retrieve remote voicemail.

Turning off answering machine

Hi
you cannot retrieve messages off the voicemail system I am afraid. If this is down to malicious calls and police are involved speak to O2 as they may have a way to supply evidence direct to police?
Regarding turning off voicemail here are the codes you need, dial 1750 to activate voicemail, 1760 to deactivate voicemail, 901 is used to call in and listen to voicemail and additional options i.e. greeting, pin etc.
WARNING! By turning off voicemail you will ERASE any messages in your voicemail as it resets each time deactivated! So only do this is messages are no longer required!
Hope that helps?
