Panasonic Model No. NN-S933BF Microwave Oven

The microwave oven shuts off after running 4-5 sceonds. Initially the light comes on and microwave starts, but then after 4-5 seconds microwave shuts off and goes back to the clock time.

    I have the exact same problem, just happened today... runs 3 sec's, then turns off, as if time's up. Must be something about October.

Could it be that i didn't follow the manuel because i got it second hand or is it because something is wrong with it,and i have to get it fixed.

SAME PROBLEM HERE, , TOOK COVER OFF, UNPLUGED AND PLUGED CONNECTIONS BACK ON CONTROL BOARD, WORKED ONE TIME OK, UNPLUGED POWER CORD OVERNITE, TRIED NEXT MORNING AND SEEMS NORMAL NOW.

Replacement light bulb for Panasonic NN-9853 Microwave
Hello, I also have a Panasonic Microwave ( model NN-S 564 or 574 ?) They are very similar.
I have just removed the outer cover 5 screws ( unplug of course ) and have located the bulb holder which is a white plastic component with two clips holding the globe, pull it out and remove the two spade clips connected to the globe. The globe will come away attached to a black plastic mount. Next........do the run around to find someone who sells it.
Perth has an authorized distributer/repairer in Myaree whose details I got from Panasonic. He may sell them. otherwise I will try a couple of specialist light globe suppliers I know....PROLAMPS in Belmont and one in BALCATTA whose name escapes me but I have been there before...Hope this helps others.

No sorry the issue will be with eiher the inverter, the magnetron or the main timer board. There is a tracer signal that comunicates through these components and if it doesnt get to where it is supposed to go it wil just shut off, the big hint at that is the time interval. It is not something like a sensor heating up and causing a fault. it is not running long enough to get any thing hot it is in the electroincs. Too expoensive to repair, im sorry better to get a new one. Good Luck

Turns on with door open
It's likely that it's only the fan and light coming on when the door is open. But even so, it's not normal, and it should be fixed. It's not a reset issue. It's likely a broken door switch mount caused by a door slam or by inferior material, or a defective door switch caused by opening the door while the oven is cooking instead of hitting the "STOP" key first. You can do a Google search for my text file "doorsw.txt" which will give safety info and help in checking the door switches. Also, the plastic pieces on which the door switches are mounted should be checked, as well as the door alignment. It's usually the upper door switch or mount that causes this, but occasioanlly it's a problem on the control circuit board. Post again if more help is needed.

Shuts Off after 22 seconds
Time to buy a new microwave as it sounds as if the control panel is defective. A new control panel for this micro will run about 95 to 120 bucks + labor depending on where you buy it. I happen to like slightly burnt popcorn as well!! Nothing wrong with thats, as they say great minds think alike.
