probably, the driver was not installed by default.
1. launch the flash drive web site and download the driver for flash drive.
2. test the flash drive with windows xp service pack 2 operating system,if it works without a driver. then providing a driver for your window will do.or upgrade the os

ACTUALLY IF YOU HAVE THE I386 FOLDER ON YOUR HARD DRIVE JUST COPY IT OR BURN IT TO ANOTHER DRIVE OR CD AND YOU HAVE THE INSTALL FILES. YOU COULD JUST BOOT IN SAFE MODE THEN SELECT THE "NO" OPTION AND RUN A SYSTEM RESTORE BASED ON A SAVED RESTORE POINT. OR AS STATED ABOVE USE SOMEONE ELSE'S CD WITH YOUR CD KEY THEN GO GRAB YOUR DRIVERS..

I never had a T3256 but have had other emachines and used my personal Restore disk on at least five various models of Emachines other than my own.
If you know anyone else who has one you can likely use it provided it is the same operating system and is the actual Emachine Restore DVD rather than the set you burn with included software on the system.
Otherwise check Google as there are companies that sell them but I have never purchased from anyone except for the manufacturer.
