The Internet browser is available through the current system update.

A broadband Internet connection and wireless router are required. Follow thesteps below to get connected.

Tap Internet Settings

Tap Connection Settings.

Tap New Connection.

The Nintendo 3DS will search for any wireless networks within range. Once it isfinished searching, it will display the names of all the wireless networks itfinds.

How do you get internet on the 3ds? plz reply :(

To get the internet on the 3DS, I'm not certain if you mean the connection or the ability to browse the web, so here's how to do both:

To connect to the internet in general on the 3DS, you're going to need to have a wireless connection. Usually this would come from a router purchased at your residence, but it is also possible to go to a public WiFi hotspot and connect using that as well if you either do not have a home internet connection or do not own a wireless router. In order to connect to the wireless network once you have one in range:

1. Start up the 3DS and select "System Settings" from the main menu
2. Go into "Internet Settings"
3. Select "New Connection"
4. Select "Manual Setup"
5. Select "Search for Access Point"
6. After your 3DS brings up a list of all available wireless networks, select yours from the list and enter your wireless password (if applicable).
7. Test the connection, and away you go!

If you were referring to browsing the web, however, normally you will just tap the globe icon on the main menu (in the upper right). If you get an error message talking about internet coming in a later update, you will need to update your system. Here's how:

1. Make sure you're connected to the internet (as described above) and go into System Settings.
2. Go to "Other Settings"
3. Select "System Update".

If you received a 3DS that was boxed prior to Nintendo's recent update, it will not have the internet browser pre-installed, and this should fix the issue.

Hi, I have a 3DS... it's blue, don't know if that matters... anyway, it says I'm supposed to go to this site to hook up to the internet, but I can't find anything refering on how to do...

It's probably telling you to go to support.nintendo.com, that's the generic message that will pop up whenever you're having problems. As far as connecting to the internet on the 3DS, I'm not certain if you mean the connection or the ability to browse the web, so here's how to do both:

To connect to the internet in general on the 3DS, you're going to need to have a wireless connection. How to put internet on nintendo 3DS

The 3DS basically, can already connect to the internet as long as you have connection to WiFi. But if you want to browse using your 3DS, Do these: System Settings > Other Settings > Tap on 4 > System Update > Enter your PIN code > Tap on OK when you have internet connection > I Accept > Plug AC adapter (Optional) > Wait.
After waiting, You'll get the Nintendo eShop and the Internet browser. Reminder: YouTube, Other media can't be played or downloaded, Facebook chat is not available.

I have a nintendo 3DS and I want to know how to use the internet on it. I have the internet wi-fi connections set but when I tap the internet logo on the touch screen on the 3DS a message appears and says...

OK, first of all you'll need an internet connection yourself.
Click the options menu and go to "other" (The orange one). Scroll along until you find "system update". Connect to wi-fi and update the system, DO NOT stop it once it's begun as it could harm your data.
Once the system is up to date, click on the blue globe in the top left of the main menu, et voila.
All you really need to do is update the system, so once you've done that all you need is to be near your wi-fi connection and you'll be fine.
Hope this helps, even if it is a little long winded =P
(NOTE: It won't be able to play videos like on youtube for some reason or other... nothing you can do but wait and see if Nintendo will update browsing capacity...)
