My kenmore series 80 washing machine makes a clicking sound during the spin cycle.
The machine does the wash cycle with no problems but when it does the spin cycle it makes a loud clicking sound and does not remove the water as efficiently.

Hello. I'm a little confused at the description of the problem. You indicated it, "will not agitate during wash cycle or spin during the spin cycle." But later in your description you indicated, "It will however, drain and spin after wash cycle and during the rinse cycle." I'm not sure if you description was an error but it sounds like you will need to replace the coupling which is part number 285753A.
Drive belt probably snapped...if you want to fix it yourself to save money...google the model make of machine along with the part you require and add Amazon...which should link you to Amazon to enable you to bug replacement part...same goes for finding replacement items on EBay.....if you take thenrear panel of the machine off..then you will see if the belt has broken or simply slipped off.
If you balanced the machine, the only other problem could be the load itself. Either the load is too great or if washing a single item its falling to one side, tilting the drum and when spinning it will thump. Try even lodes.
That machine doesn't have a belt. It is more likely that you have a bearing going bad. You may also have a tub seal starting to go which then leaks water onto the bearing, damaging it.
Hi
Loks that your machine is pretty old and hence the belt has hardened making a squeaking noise.
Good fix is get a new drive belt.
OR
Quick fix is you could put some oil on the drive belt..... it will work for now but not a permenant solution.

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete
and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in
excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement. Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the
shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or
damaged. If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.
