I was using microwave when suddenly no power...any thoughts?

I had used the covection broiler to cook a roast (which was cooked perfectly). I then microwaved 2 pototatoes. They weren't quick ccoked so I cooked for 2 more minutes, still not cooked, two more. I didn't notice anything but thought enough time had gone by, so checked and the unit did not have power. i thought I might have tripped the breaker, but my boyfriend checked and checked the fuse box. It isn't either of those.

Their is a chance that the power went out in the house. Also, chances are that it just broke.

The most common suspect here is a shorted high voltage capacitor, since you say it blew the fuse right after Start, but I would certainly suggest checking the door switches and door switch mounts first. Just be sure you installed the right fuse. It would be a The switch mounts seem to break at about this point in the life of these models. SOURCE: Sharp Covection Oven/Microwave stops after 1min on any setting

This 59-second stop failure is due to a problem in one of the damper-related components, most likely the switch, but it may also be the motor or the damper door.

The damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode. If the controller thinks that the door is not in the right position, it will shut down the cook cycle.

The door switches go bad...little micro-switches. Check them for switching on and off. Some are closed when the door is open, some are open when the door is open. It could even be that the catch has moved out of adjustment. If that isn't the problem, you have to consider the brain board which is usually so expensive that the microwave is not worth fixing.

How to use convection oven

Use just like a regular oven. Convection just blows the hot air around, so cooking can be faster. Search on google the differences between convection and baking.

Auto Cook not working

If autocook is not working and everything else it, there is an issue with the sensor in the oven that detects the steam, The emission of steam is what triggers that unit to shut off. If it wont cook on any settings then the issue is with the microwave generator not putting out enough power. This could be from a lot of things.

Need to know how to roast a whole chicken

Cooking meat is not a good idea especially chicken, few microwaves have a higher enough temperature to properly cook it, you are using a 700 watt microwave, the core temperature is simply not high enough to properly cook the meat. I strongly recommend the regular oven for proper cooking and safety, plus it will taste better.

How to use the Tesco mtg06 microwave grill?do not have instruction manual

The oven may be used purely for microwaving or simply as a grill for cooking such things as toast. The radiant or quartz grill may be used in a variety of ways. You can use microwaves that have grill functions to roast foods, for baking purposes or for grilling food such as bacon or sausages on the racks. Some models also allow you to use both the oven and grill together, and you can produce fantastically presented meals by using the grill to brown off your dish after cooking. The grill will often have low, medium and high settings for you to choose from, letting you control how brown your food is. By using a microwave with a grill, you can prepare great meals or snacks in a fraction of the time that it would take if you used a conventional oven and grill. Microwaves are particularly convenient, as you don't have to keep checking on the food or stand over it as it cooks.

Sadly your microwave has done it's last cooking. The mechanism you need to make it cook again would cost you more than a replacement microwave.

HOW DO I ROAST A CHICKEN IN A AC925CHS

Search the internet for “roast chicken recipe for microwave”
Here is one just in case you don’t find one:
Microwave Roast Chicken
3 lbs. chicken
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. paprika

Instructions
Melt butter in a custard cup in microwave. Mix paprika into melted butter. Wash chicken (reserve giblets, these are best cooked conventionally). Sprinkle inside of chicken with salt. Cover ends of legs, tail, and wings with small pieces of saran wrap or wax paper. Place trivet on inverted saucer or small casserole lid in 12 x 7 inch baking dish. Place chicken breast side down on saucers. Brush with butter. Cover with waxed paper. Cook 12 minutes. Remove wax paper or saran warp from legs, tail, and wings. Turn chicken breast side up and brush with butter. Cover with wax paper and cook 12 minutes more or until meat thermometer registers 180 degrees (temperature will increase to 195 degrees during standing).

DO NOT USE MEAT THERMOMETER IN OVEN WHEN COOKING!! Remove chicken from oven; cover with aluminum foil and let stand 15 to 20 minutes before carving. Note: For other weights of chicken, allow 8 minutes cooking time per pound.

When we first turn on the microwave there is like a mini-explosion and a fiery spark, but after that the microwave goes through its cycle and cooks the food. But we are afraid to try it again.

pls do not use any aluminum or metal material INSIDE the microwave, this can cause the problem

I assumed, but pls consider the ff info...

Be sure to use nonmetal utensils in the microwave.

For microwave cooking, cut meats and vegetables in uniform sizes to make sure that they cook evenly.

Paper plates, cups, and napkins can be used in the microwave. But don't use foil-lined paper products, paper towels that include nylon or synthetic fibers, or newspaper.
When using plastic roasting or cooking bags in the microwave, discard the wire twist tie and use a plastic fastener or a piece of string instead.

To ensure that food cooks fully and evenly in the microwave oven, stir food and turn dishes periodically while they're cooking.
