Google hp's site and then look for the tap/link that says SUPPORT or download drivers once you're on their site. Then you'll need to put in which hp pavillion you have and operating system. That should take you to another page where all the drivers are including your ethernet driver.
It is always best to go directly to the manufacturer's site for drivers and match the specific model and OS.
Unfortunately the HP Pavilion DV2000 came with Windows Vista and HP does not have the complete set of drivers, specially for Windows 7. In these situation, it is best to go directly to the hardware manufacturer's website to get the necessary drivers. Keep in mind that computer manufacturers are not really manufacturers. They just merely assemble these computers. They order the parts from different manufacturers. Here is a link where you can download the Window 7 compatible driver for the audio card that you have in your portable system. Just click on the download button in the middle of the page.

Hi, the number dv2000 is a series number what you will need to get the correct driver is a model number which you can find on a sticker on the bottom of your laptop it should be in a form of 'dv2630us' for example, once you get that number go to www.hp.com, click on support and drivers then select download driver in step one, in step two enter the model number... the next screen may let you select the operating system then the next will have a list of all drivers, download the required driver and good luck :)
You need to download the storage controller driver from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: - www.hp.com/#Support
