You said you connected your laptop to another monitor and nothing shows up - looks like a problem with graphics card/motherboard.

Hi

Thank you for your query

Please try the folowing

1) Switch on the Laptop
2) Press the F12, or del key to enter bios/setup
3) Leave it in this mode
4) If the laptop switches off, then your CPU is overheating and the heat sink will need to be replaced

SOURCE: 3 Solid 1/8" lines on the screen of my Toshiba

You will need to replace the screen, assuming the lines are always there.

My lcd is broken. I'm trying to connect it to another monitor. What number/where is the lcd key function?

If you connect a monitor to the video port on your Toshiba, power up the monitor first and then boot up the Toshiba then the video will automatically divert to the monitor.

Will not start up

Try removing the battery and replacing it. If that doesn't fix it hold down the power button and it should re boot. If still a problem we can go further. Thanks

Wireless problem

Perhaps you have not installed ALL the drivers for your system.Sometimes a missing driver for other hardware causes a problem. After installing all the drivers for your system and if it still doesnt work , try using the connection manager built into windows (instead of configfree).
