canon mp760 printer. ink waste absorber full.

I have purchased absorber sponges and I need to see a diagram of where they go. Or an explaination of how to do it. I have the service manual which explains what numbers to punch in when done etc. I am prepared to pay full amount, I'm just not sure what I have to do to upgrade this service. Please let me know. I have wasted enough time on this. I have lots of work to do. Thank you

There is no need to change the ink absorbing sponges at all ,,as i hve solved this problem myself for many of my clients i m sure that it will work for u too if followed properly step by step:

It could be due to "waste tank full" alarm; you may need to reset the waste tank counter.
reset sequence for a MP760 printer that works for F30 and F50 as well. Try:
Resetting the Waste Ink Volume Counter
1) Enter SERVICE MODE.---
By pressing Menu-Copy-#
2) Select TEST MODE.
3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE.
4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR].
5) Select 0. [INK COUNT].
6) Press the [OK] key.
7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] key.

ur printer absorber will reset and will work properly and u will be back to work.try doing it one more time if u miss something .
please take a moment to rate the solution after u get ur problem solved

The tank is really an absorbent pad. In some printers it is very difficult to get at and replace, and in others a reasonably handy person can do it.
You can get away with simply resetting the printer memory once without replacing or cleaning the "tank."
Unfortunately, the cost of having a tech do it is often close to the replacement cost for a new printer.
If you want to try to do the reset code you must do it when you get the warning. If you keep
printing, some models will stop funtioning and you can not reset it at that point.

Follow my or techgurus instructions to reset the error.

Canon PIXMA MP760: Waste Ink Absorber almost full - interrupts printing. Removed/cleaned absorbers. Still "almost full". I found out that there is a counter, versus a sensor, that determines the state of...

I'm curious as to how you cleaned the ink absorbers since they are normally sealed.

Go to the Cannon USA website and search using the terms full ink absorbers and MP760.

Let me know if you still cannot find the answer.

Canon Pixma MP760 no error code

Hi,
First you must remove the printhead and power on again, if it only has printhead error then printhead is the culprit. Otherwise you must press a key sequence to display the numerical error code and know what part of the printer is failing, purge unit, feed assy, or dirty encoder strip.
Please rate my response!! Thanks, SF
