The PC Suite which u have installed may not be properly installed so kindly follows the below link and download the free version os Latest PC Site with Software Upgrade.

After installing check it u will be able to connect the mobile and PC via PC Suite.

Then u can see all the messages and contacts,music files,datas,etc

are you sure not working at all nokia n-series? try other n-series phone first, my first opinion is that your n72 is 'locked' (or co-branding with an operator) let's say for example 'indiacell' operator.now u also have to try other simcard from other operator to your n72, does the same thing occur? if it does, it means ur phone is locked. u have to unlocked it (i think that would be illegal, but everybody does it)

Ask the place where you buy it, what operator does it locked up with, try search a technician near your place, and flash it with unlocked software. then you can use it with any card. good luck

maybe your usb cable for your phone is defective,,,,


try using a (tester) i don't nkow aht you call it their, , , test all four lines of your cable lines . . if one of them won't work especially the b;ack or the grey wire. . . it will surely not work if you connect it to your laptop . . .
