1. Kitchenaid MODEL KEMC378KSS0 stopped heating 2. Unit does not shut off when door is opened during operation, table keeps turning and timer keeps counting down.
It is likely a bad door switch or mount. See the help file here.
On some models, the door switches, fuses, and TCOs / thermal cutouts / thermostats must be checked, too. See photo below.
There
should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit
- behind the
back, behind the control panel, or hidden on the left side behind the grille - which is
very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating
components.
You can find
helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full
model number from the tag on the oven here.

Be advised, the website this guy is promoting states that they will contact you with progress about the repair progress of your microwave display and that it should be shipped within a couple of weeks. That's a bald face lie. This guys cashes your check and then never gets back to you. Don't use his repair service.

Checked both door switches and found good change of continuity when door is opened and closed, switches--good. Checked all (2) fuses I could locate in microwave cabinet, all measure 0 ohms, Magnetron measures 0 ohms across terminals without power applied. Diode attached to large capacitor measures current flow in one direction only, not shorted nor blown. Don't know how to check that big capacitor with two, 3 prong, terminals? Didn't find any parts diagram inside cabinet or behind it.
