It leaves a 1/4" wide black line on the reverse of the printed pages for the first 6 or 7 sheets which then gradually fades to nothing - the plastic output tray has various black ink stains/marks which are then left on the printed pages.I believe that that the BK and PGBK cartridges have been changed.
SOURCE: Black ink
The PGBK cartridge is a pigment black ink, while the others use a dye for coloration. The pigment black is used when printing text and other documents. The dye ink is used when printing photos and other colored documents. The dye black is used in conjunction with the color (dye) inks to provide tinting and color gradation, and therefore is not used nearly as much as the pigment black unless you use your printer only for printing photos.
If you're printing text and documents, you will need to buy another pigment black (PGBK) cartridge.
SOURCE: Why two black ink cartridges?
The larger of the two cartridges is used for text only. The smaller is used for color printing. Its purpose is to eliminate the need for a "Processed" black (black being mader by the color inks).\

SOURCE: I have problem with print-head
if the clogging is worst then the deep head cleaning wont help.the head will need to be cleaned up manually and the waste ink pad in the printer should be cleaned too.
this is covered normally in printer servicing.give special instructions to clean the head properly while you hand over the printer for servicing to any local tech.
head cleaning and servicing will solve the issue
This will help. Thanks, please
keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
SOURCE: Ink leak?
It's not the cartridges, the waste ink is coming up thru the bottom to the exit rollers. The only fix is to have a shop open it up, clean up the ink mess and install a shield that stops the ink from coming back up when it should go to the absorbers. The new machines all have this shield and the ink tube cut back to make the ink go where it should.
