Freezing Started freezing this morning. Now it won't even change chanels and has recorded nothing i set it for. Been switching it on and off on mains but now is completely froze on 1 channel

You could have blown the main fuse while doing the jump start. Also check the fusible link on the power battery cable.

What year?? What I have run into is the Anti Theft cable shorts out causing the intermittent starting issue. I would try removing the cable

Do a hard reset to this set and check first. To make it hard reset, unplug the set from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so.If this do not help you, check and replace its main system memory IC.

Your hard drive may have gone south. Remove it and check with diagnostic software. Bad sectors in critical areas of operating system data will do this.

Hi, poog_23350, I caught your post! How a Duo DVR receiver works is that the TV you have it set to record on will not allow you to change the channel while the recording is in progress. The other TV, that isn't recording anything, can be used freely to flip through channels.

In this case, it's TV2, the one upstairs in your daughter's room, that's currently set to record on while the downstairs TV is free to use. This can be adjusted by pulling up the Main Menu with the Menu button on the remote, selecting option 8, then option 5, and changing the TV1/TV2 setting there on the Record Plus screen.

Your friend has probably blown a fusible link ( usually in the low-tension (thin) wires from the battery close to the terminal)

Your checking incorrectly for spark. Hokk a timing light to the cyliunder in question. If the timing light won't flash, your providing enough voltage to the plug for it to fire. You"ll get the gas from that. It sounds like a cracked coil.

Remove the Aerial.
Switch on or if it's frozen switch off at the mains and on again.
Press Menu
Installation and enter password - 0000
Select 'Default Setting' and OK
Select 'YES' and OK to restore all settings to factory default.
Confirm again to start loading, enter the password again and it will start scanning for channels but won't find any.
Replace the aerial and press OK to rescan and now it will find channels. On completion press SAVE then EXIT on your keypad.
You won't lose any saved programmes but you will have to re-schedule your recordings.

satellite tuners and DVDs have different remote,unless your using a universal remote with satellite tuner command available.to program recording, you'll need to program the time especially the allotment.then make sure you sat tuner is tuned to the station you want to record.after setting the time and station, its all set.you don't need the DVD's remote to change the channel.
