Hi I recently bought a Wurlitzer 1015 omt cd. from a friend who has had it for a few years in storage. It got tipped in storage, and cracked the plastic and a tube. The problem is that you can choose the cd # but the player doesnt move. the little cd laser eye will move on its own but nothing else will. when I first plugged it in It moved and acted like it was searching for cds. now nothing. Any ideas? I have no information except for the jukebox.
You need the service manual
You can get manual online. However this problem is usually the micro-switch on underside of mechanism that the CAM lobe moves it did not get to the parked position or the switch could be worn out or dirty. Spray out with lube spray could fix it. Also the unit uses a lamp and optical sensor to index the selections and a coil latch that locks the carousel at the selection, could be sticking it also has a micro-switch. The mechanism is very reliable overall with very few moving parts. The rubber wheels that the carousel rides on are also prone to breaking cracking and sticking may need a bit of lube. You can replace them with O rings used in automotive uses. They are the same ones used in the color tubes to rotate them.

DOCTOR-FIXCAN MAKE A COPY FROM MY ORIGINAL. MOST LIKELY YOUR PROBLEM IS THE LIGHT THAT COUNTS AS EACH CD PASSES. LOOK BETWEEN CD CAROUSEL, AND CD GRIPPER ARM. A CD MAY HAVE HIT THE METAL LEAVER THAT THE LAMP,
IS ATTACHED TO. YOU HAVE TO GET DOWN 0N IT WITH A MIRROR TO SEE THE LAMP, AND SEE IF THE METAL LEAVER IS NOT BENT. FOR COPY OF WURLITZER MANUAL, A CD RECORD PROBABLY HIT THE LAMP. 636 2273300. NAME IS SEYMOUR LEVITT COMPANY NAME IN-HOME JUKEBOX REPAIR. [email protected] THIS IS A COMMON REPAIR PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK.

Spoke with "Doctor Jukebox" from Folsom, CA about a similar problem I had. You can find him
on craigslist.
I did NOT have the "2222" display issue.
Root cause: The laser isn't "seeing" the CD and interprets inability to
see as being the end of the track, therefore, puts the CD back into the
carousel.
Solutions:
1) Clean the lens. Be careful to use an appropriate lens cleaning
solution. The lens is made of plastic and may cloud up if a harsh
solution is used. Use a Q-tip dipped into the cleaning solution and
gently clean the lens using a side-to-side motion, not a front-to-back
motion. Wait for a bit until the lens is completely dry, then try
playing a CD. (note: this fixed the problem for me)
If that doesn't work...
2) Replace the laser module. It's easy to remove with a torx. Be
gentle when disconnecting and reconnecting the ribbon cable and/or other
connections so you don't bend the leads. Laser modules cost a few
hundred dollars, so try Solution 1) above before replacing the module.

This is a laser unit fault or the pcb under the laser unit. Both are expensive.

To make the jukebox automatically switch between jukebox CDs and the IPOD source, you'll need the background music adaptor. I have these in stock, but need to know which amplifier is in your machine, as different amplifier types require different BGM units. Please email [email protected]
SOURCE: I have a Wurlitzer Jukebox
This is not a problem....When the machine is idle, it displays the most popular selection, or as the Germans call it, the "hit of the house". I doubt it ever showed "0000", except when it was first turned on and then only for a few seconds. As you make more selections, this "most popular selection" is automatically updated. You can clear the Selection & Credit Computer (SCC) and then it will show "0101" until it recognizes a new "most popular selection". Your manual should tell you how to clear the SCC. Let me know if you need anything else, [email protected].

Usually answered in minutes!
I unplugged it overnight. When I plugged it back in the screen just flashes an 8.
All of the fuses are fine.
