Wurlitzer 1015 omt cd arm will not move to play cd.

Hi I recently bought a Wurlitzer 1015 omt cd. from a friend who has had it for a few years in storage. It got tipped in storage, and cracked the plastic and a tube. The problem is that you can choose the cd # but the player doesnt move. the little cd laser eye will move on its own but nothing else will. when I first plugged it in It moved and acted like it was searching for cds. now nothing. Any ideas? I have no information except for the jukebox.

You need the service manual

You can get manual online. However this problem is usually the micro-switch on underside of mechanism that the CAM lobe moves it did not get to the parked position or the switch could be worn out or dirty. Spray out with lube spray could fix it. Also the unit uses a lamp and optical sensor to index the selections and a coil latch that locks the carousel at the selection, could be sticking it also has a micro-switch. The mechanism is very reliable overall with very few moving parts. The rubber wheels that the carousel rides on are also prone to breaking cracking and sticking may need a bit of lube. You can replace them with O rings used in automotive uses. They are the same ones used in the color tubes to rotate them.

SOURCE: My jukebox doesn't play

DOCTOR-FIXCAN MAKE A COPY FROM MY ORIGINAL. MOST LIKELY YOUR PROBLEM IS THE LIGHT THAT COUNTS AS EACH CD PASSES. LOOK BETWEEN CD CAROUSEL, AND CD GRIPPER ARM. A CD MAY HAVE HIT THE METAL LEAVER THAT THE LAMP,
IS ATTACHED TO. YOU HAVE TO GET DOWN 0N IT WITH A MIRROR TO SEE THE LAMP, AND SEE IF THE METAL LEAVER IS NOT BENT. FOR COPY OF WURLITZER MANUAL, A CD RECORD PROBABLY HIT THE LAMP. 636 2273300. NAME IS SEYMOUR LEVITT COMPANY NAME IN-HOME JUKEBOX REPAIR. [email protected] THIS IS A COMMON REPAIR PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK.

SOURCE: Wurlitzer 1015 OMT Disc spins, then stops....

Spoke with "Doctor Jukebox" from Folsom, CA about a similar problem I had. You can find him on craigslist.

I did NOT have the "2222" display issue.

Root cause: The laser isn't "seeing" the CD and interprets inability to see as being the end of the track, therefore, puts the CD back into the carousel.

Solutions:

1) Clean the lens. Be careful to use an appropriate lens cleaning solution. The lens is made of plastic and may cloud up if a harsh solution is used. Use a Q-tip dipped into the cleaning solution and gently clean the lens using a side-to-side motion, not a front-to-back motion. Wait for a bit until the lens is completely dry, then try playing a CD. (note: this fixed the problem for me)

If that doesn't work...

2) Replace the laser module. It's easy to remove with a torx. Be gentle when disconnecting and reconnecting the ribbon cable and/or other connections so you don't bend the leads. Laser modules cost a few hundred dollars, so try Solution 1) above before replacing the module.

This is a laser unit fault or the pcb under the laser unit. Both are expensive.

SOURCE: IM TRYING TO COVERT MY WURLITZER 1015 OMT CD

To make the jukebox automatically switch between jukebox CDs and the IPOD source, you'll need the background music adaptor. I have these in stock, but need to know which amplifier is in your machine, as different amplifier types require different BGM units. Please email [email protected]

SOURCE: I have a Wurlitzer Jukebox

This is not a problem....When the machine is idle, it displays the most popular selection, or as the Germans call it, the "hit of the house". I doubt it ever showed "0000", except when it was first turned on and then only for a few seconds. As you make more selections, this "most popular selection" is automatically updated. You can clear the Selection & Credit Computer (SCC) and then it will show "0101" until it recognizes a new "most popular selection". Your manual should tell you how to clear the SCC. Let me know if you need anything else, [email protected].

I purchased a used Wurlitzer 1015, question When selecting number 51 is a code number 82 and does not play can you explain me this, what the problem is thanks

The number of Cds in the carousel can be set on the Credit unit to stop it playing fresh air if for example you only have 50 Cds and not a whole 100. Sounds like yours is set to 50 so won't play anything over 50.
I 'think' this is what you do.
On the computer credit unit...
Service Switch ON...Press LT button.
Press 5 on the keyboard once.
Enter 0000
Service Switch off.
Press LT or turn machine off/on.

WURLITZER OMT CD 100 D picking problem

Hello J.P.,

You need to get the manual for this jukebox.
You have to however confirm what the manufacturer and the model number of this is. The One More Time was made by the following manufacturers:-
Wurlizer, Rowe Ami, Rock Ola, Antique Apperatus and Sound Leisure.
Look for a serial plate on the back of the jukebox in order to get any information.
You can get manuals in the USA from www.victoryglass.com

Hello, I have a problem with WURLITZER 1015 OMT CD 100D. The arm go to pick up the CD, but returns in the same time as it lock the cd in the gripper.Result is the CD is supported on two points instead of 3...

The carousel is locked in position by the latch at the front (about 6 oclock). If the gripper isn't exactly in line with the cd then you need to adjust the latch a bit.

Wurlitzer arm keeps running

check the white plastic actuator next to the gear box, it is probably broken and not actuating the microswitch underneath it, these often fail, it may look ok,, but it actually is loose and the set screw on top of it is not clamping it to the rod.

Wurlitzer 1015 OMT 100CD

I asked a Wurlitzer engineer about this problem and he simply said, "Bend it a bit."

Sounds horrible but there is no genuine adjustment. But before doing that, try moving the carousel lock latch (at the 5 oclock position). This is what locks the carousel and determines its position when the correct CD number is reached. If you could ****** or advance it a little it might work.
