My broken belt

I ordered the belt and will figure out how to do it. I just replacedthe plastic "do-hickey"( that quickly I forgot what the part wascalled) that broke in my washer 2 months ago that caused that to stopspinning. That was a pain but I got it done. Interesting how I lost thespinning component both in my washer and dryer within 2 months of eachother....or more like a headache!

Any helpful hints once I am ready to operate?....it is an Estate Dryer by the way

Make sure the dryer cylinder spins freely once you have the front panel back on.

Yes replacing the plastic "do-Hickey" I believe its called a coupler that connects the motor to the transmission is a pain, I think the cabinet again is the worse part to fit back on.

You are now a do it myself and saver, However be SAFE! once you open an appliance up you are exposed to sharp edges and electrical components, so make sure you unplug the appliance first.

Left screws in the back of new Zanussi washing now it wont spin

It must have broken some plastic off inside or may have jammed the belt mechanism. Check the belt and suspension/mounting.

My hood release handle (1996 Fleetwood) has come off, not broken off. I can NOT figure out how to reattach it in order to pop the hood. Help??

Generally speaking, the handle has a pivot point where it pulls against to be able to pull the cable.
You should be able to pull the cable with a pair of pliers for the time being.
You might take a look at a junk car to see how it is mounted.

The belt broke on my my SHARK Model V15Z and Euro Pro hasn't responded to my request for a new belt w/ directions as how to effect repairs.

Well it's actually not so bad once you realize where they hid the screws. Gently pull outwards on either side of the housing that surrounds the brush and vacuum. There are no screws for this piece it simply snaps off and on. Once this piece is removed you'll see two phillips type screws on the side where the removable hose attaches. Remove the two screws and pull off the molded section they keep in place. The brush will now come off revealing the rotor that the belts slips over. The belt is placed over the rotor and the brush cylinder in a figure eight. Reassemble and your ready to go. Now if Shark will only help customers locate a replacement belt you may find this info useful.....

Brushes won't turn

Sounds like you have broken belt. I had the same thing happen, Got replacement belts, but can't figure out how to get the smaller belt back on. There two larger belts - one on each end of the brushes under the clear plastic covers. On the left side there a single silver metal gear, but nothing to hook up the other end of the small belt to drive the brushes. If you take yours apart let me know how to hook up the smaller belt.

Thanks,
