Hello! My name is Becki Barned, and I am with DISH Network. I have provided some steps to program your remote. Because I do not know the model number of your remote, there are a few codes to try. I hope this helps!!!


1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

We do not have the codes for universal remotesto our receivers, the best thing is to have a DISH remote then you can havefull access to the menus and functions of the receiver. It sounds like the remote would need to be programmed to the receiver itself. It may have lost it's programming when the TV code was put in.

To program remote to Satellite:
1. Access System Information screen.
2. Note the # on the bottom where it was Secondary Remote Address.
3. Hold SAT until all buttons on top of the remote light up.
4. Let go and while it's blinking enter a number between 1-15 and press #
5. Press record 3 times and test remote.

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your Venturer TV. We currently do not have any codes for the brand Venturer so we would need to perform a power scan. A power scan will scan your DISH remote for any codes that will work with your TV. Here are the steps for a power scan:

Step 1:
Press and hold the TV mode button until all mode button back lights illuminate,then release.

Step 2:
Press and release the Power button.

Step 3:
Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desiredequipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will poweroff.

Step 4:
Press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, themode light flashes three times.

After doing the power scan please remember to put the remote back into SATmode. Thanks so much for being a valued DISH Network customer!

If this hasn't been resolved, I do have some steps that will help you out. The link below will walk you through a power scan, which will program the remote to the tv. At that point, you will be able to change the channels on the tv with the remote.

We would be happy to help you with that. Here is a list ofcodes that should address your DISH Network remote to your Samsung Blu-Ray Player: 506, 755, 807, 524, 534, and 591.

Start by pressing and holding the DVD/VCR button located on the top of the remote until allthe mode buttons at the top of the remote light up, then release. Use thenumber buttons to enter one of the codes for your Samsung Blu-Ray Player, then pressthe pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the modelight flashes three times. To check that the code works try several differentfunctions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate your Blu-Ray Player. Keep in mind that some codes may not be compatible with it.If this is the case, please try the other codes listed for that device untilyou find one that is compatible with your equipment.
