Remove the doors by turning toward you a little toggle apparatus located on each hinge. Locate a small screw on the lower inside edge of the left and right hand trim and then slide off the trim. Remove the lower trim then raise the upper trip and put the left end of the panel inside the top opening. This allows you access to the control panel. Test both the keypad part #8300440 and the control panel part #830219 to see which one needs to be replaced. Order the replacement part, plug it in, reverse the precess above and it should work like new..

    MY OVEN CONTROL PANEL WENT BAD AND IT IS COSTING ME A FORTUNE TO GET THE CONTROL PANEL REPALCED. IT IS FAIIRLY NEW.

The firm is investigating reports that the electronic control panel on certain models is subject to failure after a limited number of uses of the appliance’s “self-cleaning” setting. While most foods are cooked at temperatures reaching 375 degrees, the “self-cleaning” setting raises the interior oven temperature to 1,400 degrees. Due to defects in the design and or manufacturing, the electronics contained on many ranges are damaged by extremely high heat. Repairs to damaged control panels typically cost in excess of $300 per replacement.

Equipment is Whirlpool double oven RBD305PDS14 built-in.  After a very stormy summer 2007, I thought a power surge may have zapped the control board.  Problem initially presented on display as error & fault "E6 F2"; simply pressing "Timer Off" would usually clear this error & fault code.

However, some months later, the display would often go completely blank followed by the beep sequence "short-long-short-short-short" (Morse code: dit dah dit dit dit).  No error & fault code would appear.  Pressing any keypad oven control did not work at all in this condition.  When power was cycled at the breaker panel, the usual "PF" with clock display did not appear.

After following the excellent information on "how to remove the control panel" posted in this forum, I first tested the "control panel thermal fuse" (refer to the tech sheet that should be behind the control panel once it is removed).  It showed a closed circuit.

I turned my attention to the "flexible" keypad connector cable (error & fault code "E6 F2" is a keypad or keypad connector problem; again, refer to tech sheet).  The control panel has a board mounted female connector with two tabs that may be gently pulled upward to release the flexible cable.

I cleaned the flexible cable contact area (it seats into the board mounted female connector) carefully with a Q tip and some isopropyl alcohol.  I reinserted the flexible cable and gently pressed down on the two tabs (noted above) on the board mounted female connector.  VERY GENTLY tug on the flexible cable to insure it is gripped by the connector.

After all of this monkey business, I re-mounted the control panel display panel on the oven and restored power.  So far, so good.  After applying power, the "PF" with clock display always appears.  I am able to set the clock and press "Start".  Over functions normally.  The clock displays as normal and I no longer observe the problem I described above.

BTW, I noted the incoming 240V has transient suppression (no surge protection, however).

How do I remove the cirucit board on Whirlpool double oven Model RBD305PDS14?
Looks like you have the stainless steel model. It's not too difficult. Once you get behind the oven and can see the control board, it will be held to the back of the keypad with about 4 - 8 screws. Typically it is surrounded by a black plastic shroud. Make sure you take a picture of how everything is plugged in so that you can plug the repaired or replacement board back in. If you are sending your board to a company for repair we suggest you send the shroud with it, and even the keypad as well so they can test it.

RBD305PDS14 The top oven of this double oven is not baking or broiling. I replaced the baking element and still no go. Bottom oven is fine. Any suggestions?
Perhaps item number 37 has opened (died) killing the circuit to the elements from L-2. Looks like it $35 bucks.
Better verify it is bad before ordering. Now I know the following video ain't a bult in oven but I want you to see how important it is to turn off power to this oven before attempting repairs:

Display is black
I had a very similar problem (I was observing the error & fault code "E6 F2", but not always.  I did always have the beeps.) on a Whirlpool RBD305PDS14 double oven built-in.  I spent time today (Oct. 21) and traced the problem down to the keypad flexible cable that connects the keypad to the oven control panel.

[ALWAYS WORK WITH POWER OFF!!!]

I cleaned the flexible cable contacts that seat into the board mounted female connector on the control panel board using a Q tip and isoproply alcohol.  This did the trick. 

(Elsewhere in this forum, there is information on how to remove the oven control panel and gain access to the control assembly.  I posted this information - keywords in subject: Whirlpool RBD305PDS14.)
