SOURCE: Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 doesn't work

Hi
If you take the batteries out there is a screw in there. unscrew and open (not easy) with flat knife in the edges wiggling.
attach and touch all the inside wires. I have had the same problem and it is an internal connector problem. Opening and closing aint easy and will take a little patience but it will work.
Good luck

SOURCE: microsoft wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2 - keys suddenly stopped/not working

i had the same problem, i checked the batteries with a DMM and the measured 1.4v i replaced the batteries with new and i still had the same problem. anyway i ended up taking the keyboard apart and found where the antenna is connected to a push on type connector alongside the pcb board inside the keyboard, the connection was slightly corroded. i cleaned it up and it is working fine know, even with the old batteries.

Try going to Control Panel, then click on keyboard and Keyboard Properties will come up. Then click on Key Settings and then click on Restore Defaults. Hopefully that will do it. Had a similar problem with an MS 4000 KB.

SOURCE: why does not microsoft wireless mouse laser 6000 work suddenly?

Well, I had the same problem, too, and I just turned my PC off, waited a few seconds and turned it on again. This means I really turned it off completely; normal restarting didn't work. Maybe that helps you too.

SOURCE: Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0 x key stuck

This seems to be a "systemic" fault with this product.

Throw it away, buy a replacement and forget Microsoft!

I own a Lenovo Mini Wireless Mouse (Model number N30). It has been working fine since the last 4 months I have owned it. However, I noticed today that the small light on the top of the mouse is blinking...

It's indeed the low batteries indicator. I have a Lenovo N30 myself.
I suggest you use a good pair of rechargeable AAA batteries.
They last longer than regular alkaline.
Best regards.

Only a few hours after inserting a new battery (tried two different packs of NEW batteries) into my Microsoft 6000 wireless mouse, the red light on top comes on.

I use rechargeable batteries rated at 3200MAh and have been operating for 2 months now.

If you can't get hold of them, try fresh Alkaline batteries like Duracell.

pls. vote for better service... thank you

How do I increase the range on my wireless microsoft 6000 keyboard and microsoft wireless laser mouse 6000 v2.0.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000 that also has a very short range. The only solution I've found so far is to plug the receiver into a USB extention cord and run the cord toward the mouse.

Spilt water on mouse. Now red light on

if the mouse is working properly then you might just want to leave it, is it a rechargable mouse?

If you do want to try and fix it , you could try carefully opening it, you should not need to use much if any force and then make sure everything inside is dry, using a hairdryer on low heat can be useful.

there is a chance the water has damaged the electronics of the mouse and so you might not be able to fix the problem.

MS wireless notebook mouse 3000 not working?

A friend of mine brought me this problem with exactly the same problem. here is what I found. The small notch in usb device socket under the mouse was malfunctioning. If you press this notch you will find the mouse red light blink. If you further try pressing this notch at some point the mouse red light comes on constantly. Thats it, hold it there and try to connect first by pressing the usb device connect switch and then the mouse connect switch. The moment the connection is made the usb device stops blinking and the red light on the mouse starts blinking. Wow, it works now. Some one might just open the mouse and fix this microswtich for a permanent solution.
