Built-in oven-- clock unresponsive

You do not need the clock I removed it and wired the oven direct. The wires are easy to get at when the front panel is removed. If you look at the manuals on line they will guide you with the correct wires to use

I have a stoves 720ef anf for no obvious reason the clock resets to 23.59 and the oven turns off, can you suggest anything

You obviously have a power loss somewhere. The oven will not work unless a time is set on the clock. I would suggest you have problem with the feed to the cooker which an electician should be able to check it out. If anything else is wrong on the cooker, it shouldn't reset the clock.

Fault codes F1 and F2

Just two work there:
1.- Replace the touchpad or the clock (ERC) if the code "F1" is displayed. Disconnect the ribbon connector to the touchpad. If no code is displayed after an hour, replace the touchpad. If the code displays again, replace the clock.
2.- Replace the oven temperature sensor if "F2," "F3" or "F4" is displayed. "F2" indicates the oven temperature is too hot and the oven temperature sensor is suspect. "F3" or "F4" indicates the oven temperature sensor or shorted or open.

Parts replacement coudl look in www.repairclinic.com

Hope helps.

REPLACED WITH THE SAME 3 TURN ELEMENT BUT STILL OVEN NOT HEATING UP FAN IS WORKING PERFECTLY

Was there an obvious fault with the original element such as blast mark or hole in casing?
Did you test for open circuit? Other items effecting oven element are fuse, thermostat, timer/clock, door switch. You need to follow through circuit with wiring diagram and appropriate testing device
i.e. multimeter, neon probe.

My wall oven will not work. The clock is flashing '0:00 auto', I don't have a manual but the grill works???? Also tried pushing the buttons to set the clock and they don't do anything either???? Is this...

The clock will generally only be linked to the main oven. Can you comment on this post with the make and model and I may be able to assist with setting the clock, If the make is a siemens (as this is the section that you have posted the question in), follow the link below and download the manual to assist with the setting of the clock. All the best.
http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/quick-links/customer-service/download-product-manuals.html open link and then click where indicated to open manual search, then input model number (Enr number).

I oven is showing -F7- what is that

You have a function key stuck or shorted. Replace touch pad or if touch pad is part of the clock, replace the clock (ERC).

Electric surge turned off the clock, oven but the stove top works

The clock and display are leds, right. If you can remove the panel where the board is and gain access to the back of it, look for a fuse, similar to a car fuse. The elements are controlled by manual independent switches, that's why they are working. If there is no fuse, or its still good, look for a burnt wire of some sort back there, as you said a power surge went through it.
