LG LMVM1945SW- panel works but stops

Hi I have had this MW oven for about 2years, and sudenly it stopped working. the panel takes my input then starts, I can hear the fan then in precisely 6 secs it goes to display "F-9" and stops. No ability to heat. Can you help with this?

No need to answer my problem, I just want to comment that I am sworn away from any LG products! Our LG over the stove microwave totally went out JUST after the 1 year warranty, the only shop that services LG in my area took 6 friggen months to fix it to the tune of almost $150, now about a year later I am getting the f-9 message. I'm not paying as much as the stupid thing cost to have it repaired twice in 2 years time! It's going in the trash. Have an LG high end S/S refrigerator too and have had continued problems with ice maker. No problems with my LG Front Load W/D (yet) but I'm going to be avoiding LG in the future!

The service manual is here, and gives you the disassembly instructions, but does not give part numbers.

Our Viking VMOS200 just stopped working. The lights and the countdown timer work, but no fan noise and no turntable spin.

it has nothing to do with the magnetron. first you have to fix step one. then you will know if the magnetron is bad. its one or two of the primary switches on the bottom of the switch tower. usually with these mw if you dont press cancel to stop the mw, and you just push the latch to stop it, those wires heat up and cause the microswitches to burn and loose proper contacts.

put a cup of water in the mw. set it to one minute and as its counting down. push on the latch LIGHTLY, as to not fully open the door and you will hear the magnetron kick on and the turn table start to rotate

Hello mbz... Since the operation is impeded, the problem is more than the light bulb. This unit has an internal short, and should be under warranty for the first year. Return it. Joe

Neff HTHB86K Microwave oven.

The microwave unit is faulty as you can read from the display or the controller isn't working correctly, you should take your MW oven to an authorized service center. It can be repaired by yourself but it's highly dangerous because it has high voltage inside and microwave energy.
