You may have to reset the Bulb Life Timer. When the power is turned on, you simultaneously press the "right arrow", the "down arrow" and the "menu" buttons, then press the "standby/on" button, it should zero out the Bulb Life Timer and it should come on.

After turning off/ shutting down my benq projector a few seconds later it automatically starts up again, I don't know how to stop this from happening?

Hi and welcome to fixya.
my name is Yan ready to assist you today.
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble.
Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

Make sure the power cord is securely connected to the projector and to a working electrical outlet. The projector's buttons may be locked for security. Unlock the buttons or use the remote control to turn on the projector. The power cord may be defective.

My projector won't turn on, only the power light shows red, the status light is blank. Tried the remote and manually turning it on.

Hello
If the power light is ON and status light is OFF; check if any objects are blocking the air inlet or outlet grill, and remove them if any, and carry out the following.
[1] Unplug the power cord from wall outlet.
[2] Make sure that the projector has cooled off.
[3] Plug the power cord into the wall socket.
[4] Press the power button.
Check whether the cooling fan has stopped. The problem is with overheating itself.
If these does not help you, your projector need service. OK.

Trying to run a digital projector from a car battery

I looked at the power requirements of this projector, 280W, but that assumes a nice sine wave. Your inverted is supposed to put out 400W, but it's a modified sine wave. Under ideal conditions (including a good battery) this might be just enough. Connecting directly to the battery will help a little, because of the limited ability to get current to and through the cigarette lighter. Using a 100 foot extension cord will diminish the voltage a bit (less so if it's a heavy gage wire). I would try connecting the inverter directly to the battery, run the engine and skip the extension cord. If that works, turn off the engine. If that works, try the extension cord. If it won't work with the engine running, connected directly and no cord - there are two possibilities: (1) the projector just won't run on a modified sine wave, (2) you need a bigger inverter. --- regarding (1) I have seen lots of people having trouble with various devices. You might want to ask Epson support. --- Good luck!

Projector not booting up

Hi,

The projector may not be receiving power or it may be malfunctioning. Turn the projector off and unplug the power cord. Confirm the power cord is securely connected to the projector and then plug the cord back in to a different outlet and turn on the projector. If this does not solve the problem, and another light is on or flashing, check the projector’s status.

Hope this helps

I just replaced the lamp, but the projector won't power up. It has 2 solid red lights

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the master power switch, disconnect the power cord, and then wait a short time.
2. Reconnect the power cord, and then turn on the master power switch. 3. If the previous steps don’t resolve the issue, the lamp might be at the end of its life. (double check that you get a good one lamp, and that are installed correctly)
4. If your projector still doesn’t turn on, turn off the master power switch, disconnect the power cord, and then contact your local repair shop for Fix the Board on the prjector

Kodak Ektagraphic III AMT: turn on and it advances on its own without stopping

This is a "wear problem" called continuous cycle. Pretty common, actually. It requires an adjustment of the cycle contact wire. Unplug the projector, turn the projector upside down and remove the lamp module from the back. Remove the six T-15 TORX screws that hold the bottom cover in place. Gently pull (the power cord is secured to the inside of the bottom cover) the bottom cover off & lay it next to the projector. Near the center of the projector you will see the cycle wire and pad (refer to the attached pic). You will need to carefully(!) bend the "J"-shaped wire so that when the projector is "idling", the wire lays at the center of the pad. Bend a very little, plug it in and cycle it a couple of times. If it still continuous cycles, unplug & bend a little more. It usually takes 3 or 4 adjustments before you get it in the correct position. Good Luck !!

Wiring fan direct

If your main fan is not turning or not turning reliably, most likely your fan controller on the main board has failed. I don't have any information on the voltage requirements for the fans. The service manuals for the Infocus projectors does not have any schematics so I wouldn't know where to pull power from without harming anything else.

Sorry.
