All Xbox 360 system updates should update automatically when you power on your system or notify you of game/app updates upon selection of said game/app. First make sure your Xbox is connected to the internet and that it is working properly by running the network setup found in the guide menu. After running the setup and everything checks out restart your Xbox and see if an update message appears. If not there are 2 possibilities, 1 your Xbox is already up to date and no action is required and 2 you may have an update error that the following link should be able to help you perform a manual update. In the case of the 2nd possibility you should recieve an error message stating that an available update was unable to be applied/downloaded. http://xbox-games.yoexpert.com/xbox-games-general/how-to-fix-an-xbox-360-update-error-256.html.
Sounds like the old brick cooked the Xbox somewhere when it allowed it to overheat. You'll need a replacement console or you could try baking the board but I don't recommend it if you haven't before.
Status Code: 3151-335A-B380-0F00-C000-000E ^ ^ This is the "Status Code" my Xbox 360 is giving me. This has been over a year now. This happend about 2 weeks before Easter 2011 and I got another one the next day. The Xbox 360 Slim. The one that got the Status Code I tried getting to work with the "Open disk tray" option, also when I did that I had the newest Xbox Dashboard Update Downloaded on my flash drive. Now when I did the "Open Disk Tray" option I had the update and everything like I was told, but when I did everything it just poped up with the same error. If anyone else has found a fix for the Error. Please, let me know in an email to > [email protected] < This will very much be appreciated. Thanks.
The Xbox 360 released a new dashboard update on May 19, 2011. That might be your problem. Microsoft announced that some consoles were not compatible with the update but if you contact them they can replace you with a new Xbox 360 slim 250GB and a year of Xbox live membership.
This is likely a problem with your network connection in which it is unable to connect to XBOX Live. I would need to know the make and model of your router to go into further detail on this, so all I can provide you with is some general information to help resolve the issue.
Go to this website and select the router you are connected to:
http://portforward.com/
Skip the Advertisement if it pops up, then select Xbox Live 360. Follow the instructions to set up the proper ports for your router.
If that doesn't work, try plugging in your 360 with an Ethernet Cable, directly to the modem, then download the update.
Let me know if that works :)
i have had a similar problem with the same game, i took it into gamestation and you know how they have that disk repair machine thing, it worked a treat and my game was working good as new.
