Frozen screen when hot

- Stop Overclocking your CPU.
- Make sure your Heat Sink is placed properly above the processor.
- Clean the Processor fan, Heat Sink and other peripherals.
- Use High Speed fans.
- Use CPU Heat Sink Paste in the processor.
- Fix OS registry with reliable program like I always use Reginout.
- Shut down your computer atleast two hour a day.

Most of the time, PC starts running slow and freezing by lots of reasons. Corrupt registry, unnecessary applications, as well as too many start-up items would be the major reasons contributing to this problem. Many PC users simply utilize PC yet never consider how to maintain and optimize PC performance. I would suggest you to download any reliable program to fix registry, to manage unnecessary applications & start-up items like am using Reginout since 2011. Many programs are available in market which can perform these steps, but don't believe on free products. Now its up to you. :-)

Good Luck.

My friend's sony vaio PCGEK25EH freezes in few minutes after start up. reformat has been done but still same problem comes. pls help

It could be a heat problem. If the processor fan is not working or running slow it will overheat and switch off or just stop working to protect the processor.

My HP netbook keeps freezing. I don't know whether its due to overheating. But everytime when it freezes, its very hot. Another problem is, when i shut down my netbook, it always restarts by itself....

Hi xinyi pang17,

I have heard of this problem many times and it is usually due to overheating and motherboard problem. But first thing that you need to check is if the fan is working properly or not. You can use a canned air to blow out dust and accumulated particles from the fan.

However, freezing may also be caused by faulty processor. The unit may freeze (and overheat) while booting up, while using the computer or before the operating system loads if the processor is failing. To verify if the processor is failing, just access the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) setup and test if it will overheat from there. If it does, surely the processor and/or motherboard needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

Hello, I have a problem with my widescreen. I have a laptop (HP Pavilion dv2418ca, Windows Vista, Memory 2,00 GB, Processor Intel (R) Core (TM) Duo CPU, 32-bit Operating System) and my widescreen...

It may be caused by overheating. Overheating is the main problem with HP portables. Use a fan to cool down the computer and check how long it last working. If blowing air with a fan "Appears to fix the problem" stop using the computer and get maintenance service for it. The processor area needs to be cleaned.

Sounds like a vid card problem

How do you get it to work when it freezes??

Ensure you have all the latest drivers from HP's site. Install them chipset first.

System hangs up frequently

Might be a loose RAM (memory stick). Try removing it and then connect it again properly and see if it solves the Problem.

Equium M40X freezes

Hi, it seems your experiencing a overheat issue. At least one fan inside your PC has stopped working. The PC monitors internal heat, when the PC reaches a certain temperature it will shut down & or freeze. Chances are it's the CPU fan.

Frequent freezing of mouse, and unexpected shut down

the mouse is freezing because, you have either too many programmes running at start up, conflicting drivers, slow start up anti virus programmes, or you may have a virus or trojan/spyware programme running in the background. The shut down could be a processor overheating problem, so check all your vents and fans for clogged up dust and ensure your pc is well ventillated.
